Hi,

I'm having DPC latency issues so wanted to check a few basic BIOS settings first.

I can get to the blue start up settings screen but when I click restarts
  • my screen goes blank as the computer restarts,
  • It then sates hdmi2 at the top of my screen, so i know its detecting a signal from my PC.
  • Nothing else happens, just a black screen.

If I press return it then brings up the login screen. I think its going into the BIOS/safe start screen, but I can't see it.

I've tried connecting the HDMI directly into my MoBo rather than my GTX and have unplugged the HDMI lead going to my VR headset.

This is likely the windows 10 fast startup meaning it goes too fast for the key press to register.

You can get to the BIOS/UEFI from Windows 10:

  1. Go to the Settings app in Windows 10
  2. Click Update and Security
  3. Go to the recovery tab
  4. Under Advanced Start Up, click Restart Now
  5. Once the PC has rebooted, you'll be greeted with a menu. Click troubleshoot
  6. Then click Advanced Options
  7. Click the UEFI Firmware Settings button
