Hello, I've recently installed some updates on my laptop but 2 of them failed which are (KB3004375) and (KB3031432).
I also got some blue screen of death (probably due to the corrupted file, seems to be an ASUS problem?) and some applications are not working properly (sound, Google Chrome...).

What I have tried so far but failed: reinstalled the last update, Fix it Tool, System Update Readiness Tool, put a .msu in package repertory (note: it says (KB3031432) is already installed and (KB3004375) failed to install) , SFC /scannow..
Also noticed that after I ran Fix it or System Update Tool, these two updates started downloading up to 5% then I got the error again :(..

I tried to attach the CBS.zip but it failed ?

Hello and welcome to the forum :)

For some reason I could not extract the zip file.

Can you please upload the CBS folder manually?

Export CBS folder

  1. Click the Start button
    StartButton_16x16.gif
    then click Computer.
  2. Double-click on the C: drive, under the Hard Disk Drives category, and then scroll down to, and double click on the Windows folder.
  3. Find and double click on the Logs folder.
  4. Right-click on the CBS folder, and select Copy.
  5. Go back to your Desktop, right-click on it, and select Paste. You should now see a copy of the CBS folder appear on your Desktop called CBS.
  6. Right-click on this new folder, and navigate through Send to, and select Compressed (zipped) folder.
  7. A new file, also called CBS (CBS.zip), but this time with a different icon, will be created.
  8. Attach this to your next post please.
Please Note:: if the file is too big to upload to you next post please upload via Dropbox or One Drive

Thank you.

Please follow the instructions Here to run the System Update Readiness Tool. When the SURT finishes installing, copy (Ctrl + C) and paste (Ctrl + V) the contents of the SURT log into your next post please:
C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CheckSUR.log
C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CheckSUR.persist.log

Thanks for your time! :)

I ran Windows Update again but I still couldnt install them, a new code error came with : 8024200D.

Good all the corruptions are fixed, this error (8024200D) is very common after SURT has repaired files. The fix is rather easy (thankfully) it is just a case of manually downloading the from MS, and running the installer.

If you need a hand finding the download, let me know :)

The command cmd /c copy %windir%\logs\cbs\cbs.log "%userprofile%\Desktop\cbs.txt" when pressing ENTER didn't work so I copied cbs.log on deskop instead.

You can always post now, they might be able to resolve the issue before the next one occurs.
