[SOLVED] cannot update windows 10 from 1803 to 1903

Hello,

My computer has had problems with installing updates for quite some time, but I just installed them manually so far [for example the error for a smaller update to 1803 KB4516058 right now is 0x80070002]
But the real problem is with updating Windows 10 from version 1803 to 1903 - I have followed many tutorials and there are errors at each stage and nothing works.

Details of my computer:

Windows 10 Home 64-bit version 1803
operating system compilation 17134.984

(the language is Polish so I will have to translate some of the messages into English, sorry if they will be different a bit from the “official version”)

Here are the results I got so far:

Step # 2Run SFC Scan gave this message:

Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them.

For online repairs, details are included in the CBS log file located at windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For example C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For offline repairs, details are included in the log file provided by the /OFFLOGFILE flag.

I also ran the DISM check previously and it said the image is repairable but it couldn’t repair it.

I tried running the Update Assistant from the official Microsoft page: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10 and it pretended to do something, but after restart the system was unchanged.

I ran the Windows 10 installation media but it ended with the following:

0x8007042B – 0x2000D, The installation failed in the SAFE_OS phase with an error during MIGRATE_DATA operation

I also read somewhere to run SetupDiag and it gave the following:

Only Polish language pack is installed from what I see under Settings > Time & Language > Region & language

Download SFCFix.exe (by niemiro) and save this to your Desktop.
Download the file below, SFCFix.zip, and save this to your Desktop. Ensure that this file is named SFCFix.zip - do not rename it.
Save any open documents and close all open windows.
On your Desktop, you should see two files: SFCFix.exe and SFCFix.zip.
Drag the file SFCFix.zip onto the file SFCFix.exe and release it.
SFCFix will now process the script.
Upon completion, a file should be created on your Desktop: SFCFix.txt.
Copy (Ctrl+C) and Paste (Ctrl+V) the contents of this file into your next post for me to analyse please - put [CODE][/CODE] tags around the log to break up the text.

Right-click on the Start button and select Command Prompt (Admin)
When command prompt opens, Copy (Ctrl+C) and Paste (Right-click > Paste) the following command into it, then press Enter
Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
Once it finishes, copy and paste the following into the command-prompt window and press Enter. If prompted to overwrite the existing file go ahead.
copy %windir%\logs\cbs\cbs.log "%userprofile%\Desktop\cbs.txt"
Once this has completed please go to your Desktop and you will find CBS.txt => Please zip/upload to this thread.

Download the Media Creation Tool and save this to your desktop. Go ahead and run this as well. Note: Click the Download tool now button when you get to this link.
Accept the License Agreement
Download the ISO file to your desktop.
Double-click on the ISO and then run the setup to try and upgrade your machine.

Step#1 - FRST Scan

1. Please download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your Desktop.
Note: You need to run the 64-bit Version so please ensure you download that one.
2. Right-click FRST64.exe and click Run as Administrator to run it as administrator. When the tool opens, click Yes to disclaimer.
3. Please ensure you place a check mark in the Addition.txt check box at the bottom of the form before running (if not already checked).
4. Press Scan button.
5. It will produce a log called FRST.txt in the same directory the tool is run from (which should now be the desktop)
6. Please attach the log back here.
7. Another log (Addition.txt - also located in the same directory as FRST64.exe) will be generated Please also attach that along with the FRST.txt in your reply.
