cannot uninstall ie 11

I have gone to Control panel, Programs, Programs and Features, Installed Updates then I try to uninstall ie 11 and I get this error message. "An error has occurred. Not all updates were successfully uninstalled." I am running a Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit OS. How do I get ie 11 to uninstall?

Internet Explorer is a feature in Windows, and can't be uninstalled. It can be shut off or just not used. To shut it off follow the steps here.
