Good day everyone. I hope you are well and had a good Christmas. I replaced my Dell Latitude E6230's standard hard drive with an SSD. Now I am unable to get a rating on my system. It gives the following error:

"The Windows Experience Index for your system could not be computed. Could not measure storage performance. Error: Failed to properly assess the disk. The parameter is incorrect."

Any help would be appreciated.

I see lots of threads about this but I'm posting two that are from 2019 because both point to a problem with an antivirus program as the cause.
Question - Windows Experience Index error "Failed to properly assess the disk. The parameter is incorrect"
Windows Index Experiance scanner on Windows 7 not working under Avast 19.1.2360

Since Avast owns AVG, it is the same av program. Do you run either Avast or AVG?

Thank you. I am currently using Avast Free version.

As per the link I uninstalled my antivirus program and it could then rate the system successfully. Thank you for the help :)

I'm glad a fairly easy fix worked. You should be okay with MS's av virus program working. I actually use MS Security Essentials. It is still being updated, though I'm not sure it can now be installed on Windows 7.

This site is safe but it is a 4 year old version
