[SOLVED] Cannot change lockscreen background

Greetings,so far so good as far as running win 10,I have two issues though I can't change the log on screen(lock screen?) and I'd like you too look at the processes running in the task mgr(way more things running than were in win7) If I can stop.disable,or delete any I'd like your opinion. Thx

From what I can see, all these processes are legitimate. Also, which tutorial are you following to change the logon screen?

Not following any tutorial going into settings>personalization>background,lock screen,etc> choose your picture.Did this like a half dozen times and I still get default log on then black screen then the desktop. (thx for checking task mgr.)

Sorry bobby, I moved your thread in a folder of my subscriptions that I never look at (basically threads I mark as "SOLVED" are moved there). Moved it back so when I get home tonight I'll see it and check it out.

Well I just tried it and it worked for me. I picked a new one and even reverted back to my old one.

Can you give me a reason why mine isn't working I tried again and all I'm getting is the default logon, blue window etc. When I hit picture in personalazation it clicks the picture as if it's the one I chose but when I log off and log back on I get the default picture it won't change. Maybe it has to do with settings:huh:

Wait, are you talking about the screen when you lock your computer (Win Key + L), or the screen where you enter your password and see your username? Because these two are differents.

This changes the lockscreen background. When you press Win Key + L, the picture you're showing me in the attachment should be shown as the lockscreen.

Ok as you can see I'm lost between the lockscreen and the logon screen. When the pc is initially booted the blue windows screen comes up (with the window in it) and the users name. What I want is the picture I showed you to come up instead.

So what you want to change is the logon screen (where you rusername appears and you enter your password). Mine is still set to the default Windows 10 logo. There's a 11 pages discussion going on Microsoft Community forums about this.

I think some people are trying to make the old Windows 7 trick work on Windows 10.

Read(and tried) the different selections, but I just can't get the logon screen to change.Microsoft should have added this option(logon screen) to personalization,background,lockscreen,logon screen.I also tried 3rd party tools (they didn't work). If you have any suggestions,as always it's appreiated,till then I'll keep trying and let you known if I have any success Thx

I would have to try these solutions myself. I was never really interested in changing my logon screen past Windows 7 (last version of Windows I did it on). Starting on Windows 8 I just changed the lockscreen for something cooler.
