Cannot add/remove any feature of Windows 10 Pro 19045.2546 anymore. Error: 0x80073701.

Hi,

I cannot add/remove any feature of Windows 10 Pro 19045.2546 anymore. Error: 0x80073701.

As a side note: I cannot install some Windows updates neither nor does an Inplace Update work. (I think he has a problem there with the NET-Framework which I am trying to remove with 'add/remove feature' but it fails due to the error above.)

CBS.log has an issue with a package:

sfc /scannow

and

and Componentsscanner did not find anything.

From ComponentsScanner during its run:
Sequence numbers do not match! Hive is dirty and the transaction logs should be reviewed for relevant data!
Sequence mismatch! Primary = 74332. Secondary = 74331

However, the log does not contain any errors.

I was able to find a solution myself.

I removed two entries in the registry mentioning Microsoft-Windows-Shell-CustomShellHost-Package~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~10.0.19041.2486.

After that Windows Updates still failed but Windows Add/Remove Features was working again and I removed the NET-Framework there.

After that an Inplace Upgrade was possible and everything seems to be working fine now.
