Hi,

Could really have some help regarding the installation of above mentioned update.Other updates than CU updates install ok.

System with the issue is a VM on VMWare and runs Windows Server 2016 Standard

Steps taken:

- Repair Windows Update Components (ResetWU)
- Removing staged updates
- sfc /scannow - no issues anymore.
- dism scanhealth, checkhealth, restorehealth (all ok)
- SFC Fix (no issues found)
- Repair installation (with updates)
- Clean boot

After the installation of the update the server will restart. During the process of installing the update it stops all services and reboots at 28%. It does this two times, then the update will be rolled back.

CBS Log: CBS.zip

Thanks in advance
Felix

Hello!

Can you please do the following:

Step#1 - FRST Scan

1. Please download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your Desktop.
Note: You need to run the 64-bit Version so please ensure you download that one.
2. Right-click FRST64.exe and click Run as Administrator to run it as administrator. When the tool opens, click Yes to disclaimer.
3. Please ensure you place a check mark in the Addition.txt check box at the bottom of the form before running (if not already checked).
4. Press Scan button.
5. It will produce a log called FRST.txt in the same directory the tool is run from (which should now be the desktop)
6. Please attach the log back here.
7. Another log (Addition.txt - also located in the same directory as FRST64.exe) will be generated Please also attach that along with the FRST.txt in your reply.

Hi,

Thanks, and can't run this tool on Server 2016.
Any other tools available for this OS?

Hi,

Thanks. Smartscreen didn't pop-up. After disabling it i was able to start the application.
Both files requested are in the .zip file.
Thanks.

This appears to be a permissions issue. Can you navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\AudioCD and export it?

Also, please check permissions for that key.

I found that FSLogix was the culprit. After removing FSLogix the update was installed succesfully.
Thanks for the time and knowledge provided in this case.
