I noticed on my salvaged W7E-64 laptop the C:\users\default folder has a "shortcut" assigned. I have never seen this before. The contents of the C:\users\default (shortcut) folder are the classic list of "Desktop, Documents, Downloads, etc, etc. etc". How can I remove the "shortcut" assigned to this folder? Can I rebuild the C:\user default folder that once existed w/o a shortcut? Can I copy the Default folder from another PC?

Thx.....great forum. Awesome help. Stay safe

[SOLVED] Shortcut is in the Users folder for Default. I deleted and the correct Default folder appeared w/o Shortcut identification. The Folder Default is hardly visable, perhaps a "hidden" folder that I chose to show??? Is this correct?? In any event I am a happy camper with the correctly shoeing Default folder

Thx again and stay safe.
