and hope this is the right place to post or move as needed please. my reason to post is confusion on my part, i'm looking for an LT for browsing, emails, very little social media, some gaming at some sites pool, darts, solitare, tower defense games, and online karaoke singing/recording. my concerns are with the ram, i always thought ram had a lot to do with speed capabilties and more ram was more money. now i'm seeing units that offer 16 gb for $408 and with 8 gb at $460. can someone enlighten me on this please?

thanks xilo, i felt it was something like that./ i guess hardly any two have identical guits. most others i've looked at had more ram at a higher price. of course i guess the processor's have to be high speed to handle everything right? and is a quad like 4 processors working together? and their speed is Gh? after owning 5 or 6 different pc's i should know more but there's so much to know about them. i guess it's one of those things i just want to fire it up and go. thanks for the reply!

The differences between the two are the cpus and the amount of the rams.
The amazon one has got a less powerful and older (2017) cpu, but the ram is doubled.
The ebay one, more powerful and newer (first quarter of 2022) cpu.
Check these ones:

well i had a lenovo before and it was a lot smaller and slower too i hope. i'm not up much on pc's and their components. i've just been more familiar with the name intel when it comes to cpu's and not familiar at all with the athlon brand, but i'm sure it has to be competitive in order to exist. i thought the ram, 20 gig and the hard drive 1 tig would be the deciding factors in perfprmance so i went with this one, https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BMWBF3B1?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1 pc's i think are a lot like a box of chocolates. we never know what's inside until we open the box. or something like that. thanks again for all the help and advice. i'm sorry to say i'm hoping to stay gone from here. but if need be i'll know where to go for help. thanks to all. happy putin everyone!
