The older the hardware gets the more issues they have, put it this way.
You have a 5 year old graphics card and you're using Windows 7 on it, by now AMD have moved on and have stopped supporting that series.
So when you use a new operating system and as new software comes out the driver becomes more problematic as it fails to work effectively with other software.
I personally think you need to invest in a new graphics card if you want to continue gaming as it's 5 years old (done well for a graphics card) and it's using outdated software which will only lead to more problems later on.
