Please HELP!

I have a windows 10 device that continually crashes. I have tried to analyze the .DMP file sent to me up but isn't giving me much. What else can I do on the system to try to fix this? I have uploaded the .DMP file here. Bug check analysis below.

I've not downloaded that kernel dump yet (it's quite large), but I suspect this live kernel event (which is a problem from which Windows managed to recover) is related to a conflict between Modern Standby and VMWare on which you're running this guest.

Activators are registered Windows components that are allowed to keep the system partially active when it's in standby. This is all part of the complex low power states that Modern Standby provides. I don't pretend to know much more than that about how activators work, but since this a VM guest OS I think that a conflict between the VM host and Modern Standby in the guest Windows system is the most likely cause.

It's not an area in which I have any experience. Is this causing you problems? Is it important for the Windows guest to go into sleep?

I would suggest checking your event logs for any issues with your BITS service since that appears to be the activator which was revoked for some reason. Unfortunately, you aren't going to find much information about this bugcheck because most of it is undocumented, I suspect that Microsoft only share the details with hardware manufacturers.

Hello,

What makes you say it has something to do with the BITS Service?

Thank you,

Since it's a VM, I'd try to disable each and every power setting which allows anything between a full shutdown and a fully running system. No fast startup, no hibernation, no sleep mode.

I'm no expert in analysing dump files, but I have quite some experience with Virtual machines (Hyper-V and VMWare). Like ubuysa mentioned, VMs often don't play nicely with all the modern standby stuff and usually they don't need it either.
