BSOD While Playing Games

Hello,

I had opened a thread on another forum a week ago. But since the problem hasn't been solved yet, I'd really like to get additional help. The blue screens started to be really annoying...

The other thread is here: Recurrent BSOD, Probably Related to Graphic Card - Windows 7 Help Forums

I think there's a lot of information that could be useful there. If I am required to submit other reports or give other information, please tell. I really want to get rid of this problem. Thank you!

Alright, I was hoping to bypass that procedure really. But if it's necessary:

OS - Windows 7
· x64
· System? It has been changing its parts for at least seven years now I think, so not really sure.
· It wasn't pre-installed.
· Age is different for all pieces.
· The OS is a year old or something like that.

· Intel Core i5 760
· AMD Radeon R9 200 Series
· ASUS P7H55-USB3
· Power Supply - I don't remember, but it shouldn't be the source of the problem.

· System Manufacturer - Not sure what this means.
· Exact model number (if laptop, check label on bottom) - Again, not sure.

· Desktop

Sorry if there's anything missing or wrong.

Looking at the thread on Seven Forums, it looks like your display driver is playing up.
Unfortunately, there's not much we can do apart from try different driver versions. Because I don't develop device drivers, not do I have access to the driver itself, and lastly you need hundreds, if not thousands of people to work on it, simply becuase the graphics card is essentially a computer with it's own components.
You can either, update the driver, roll back the driver or try a beta driver.
If you can, I would recommend you RMA the card, see if AMD can do anything for you. All in all, AMD can have some pretty bad drivers, and while Nvidia aren't perfect with theirs, they tend to have more reliable drivers for the most part.
I could recommend trying Windows 8.1, given that it's a different OS, different drivers will be required, which may or may not resolve the issue.

Thank you. I'll try a beta driver, I think. I'm not sure how to find old versions of drivers, but I could do that too probably. Other than that, Windows 8 seems difficult. As a last resort, if nothing works, I'll try RMA.

So, I didn't download that (didn't work somehow), but I downloaded and installed another old version.

The problem still exists. My game crashed again.

I recommend you download the driver from AMD's website, and not a 3rd party website.
Is it just the game which crashes, or the whole computer? What exactly happens?

Sorry for the late reply-

I couldn't find any older versions on AMD's website really. Could be my fault.

What exactly happens is this: I start playing a game (for the most frequent example, Skyrim). After a while (used to be an hour or so, then dropped down to almost ten minutes), the game crashes. This crash happens like this: The screen goes dark, then my monitor says "no display" (or something like that). Then, I think, the screen turns to white. And then generally I force-quit the game using the task manager. Then, if I try to play the game again, or try to play another game, at the moment the game starts, I get a blue screen. Then the cycle starts again. If I reboot the computer before trying again to play a game, I don't get a blue screen, and instead, after a while, my game crashes. So, a reboot functions like a blue screen in that matter.
