I forgot to elaborate on the questionnaire that while the processor, motherboard, PSU, and RAM are ~4 yrs old, I recently added the MSI RX 480 about a month ago, and the Samsung Pro 950 NVME SSD on 10/18 when I reinstalled windows. I am using the LycomDT-120 adapter for Samsung Pro 950. Finally, I upgraded my monitor to an Acer XF240H with FreeSync.
Also, I've been running Drive Verifier for over a day. What data am I looking for when I run verifier /query? I am seeing "Verifier flags: 0x0002892b". Never used this tool, so I will need some advice there.
One more note... I got home this afternoon and my desktop was on but I could not get my monitor to register ("No Signal"). Checked the Caps Lock button and it worked. So, I disconnected my monitor power on switched it off. Plugged it back in with same results. Disconnected the DP Cable from both the monitor and GPU... nothing. Then, I hit the reset button on my PC. Now, the Caps Lock doesn't work, still a black screen and my PC didn't really make noises (fan fluctuations, etc. upon reboot). What eventually worked was turning the PC off, and while I was at it, switching off the PSU and waiting 20 seconds. Then, the PC booted as normal.
No new entry for a BSOD, and the Event Viewer only showed a Critical Error for me killing the system without properly shutting down. Notable repeat Error was for "The device, \Device\Harddisk1\DR1, has a bad block." Event ID is "7". Finally, a repetitive error that's occurred since Windows reinstall is Event ID 140: "The system failed to flush data to the transaction log. Corruption may occur in VolumeId: E:, DeviceName: \Device\HarddiskVolume4.
(A device which does not exist was specified.)" and Event ID 51: "An error was detected on device \Device\Harddisk1\DR1 during a paging operation."
Not sure if I have 2 separate things going on, or if Driver Verifier found a bad driver, but no BSOD was initiated, perhaps?
Thanks again,
