BSOD when logging into Allods Online

Hi all,

I recently installed Allods Online on my laptop (played it previously on my desktop), which is a free-to-play MMORPG, and whenever I try to log in (after which it would show my different characters), my laptop freezes and shows a BSOD.

Sometimes it's IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (pacer.sys), sometimes KMODE_EXCEPTION. I have no clue why these differ from eachother, as they happen in the same conditions: when I try to log in to Allods Online.

Please note that this only happens with this game, I've had no issues whatsoever with other games (Modern Warfare 3, Battlefield 3, Team Fortress 2, League of Legends, ...)

Here is an overview of my laptop:
· OS - Vista/ Windows 7, Windows 8 ? Windows 8 Pro with Media Center
· x86 (32-bit) or x64 ? x64
· What was original installed OS on system? Windows 7 Home Premium
· Is the OS an OEM version (came pre-installed on system) or full retail version (YOU purchased it from retailer)? Full retail version (from school, DreakSpark Premium)
· Age of system (hardware) Bought the laptop in the summer of 2012
· Age of OS installation - have you re-installed the OS? Around six months I think

· CPU Intel Core i7-3610QM @ 2.30Ghz
· Video Card iGPU: Intel HD 4000, dGPU: nVidia Geforce GT650M
· MotherBoard As it's a laptop, I honestly have no clue
· Power Supply - brand & wattage (if laptop, skip this one)
· Also note that I replaced the original HDD with a Samsung SSD 830

· System Manufacturer Medion
· Exact model number (if laptop, check label on bottom) Medion Akoya P6815 (MD98059)

The perfmon report and the output folder are attached below :).

Thanks for your time

Hi,

Sadly, I have not had time for a full analysis, I will get back on that after I do my homework. :-)

However, I quick look at the dumps shows some problem drivers that are causing the crashes. Please update the drivers or remove the associated software:

dne64x.sys - Citrix Deterministic Network Enhancer Miniport or Cisco Systems VPN Client
Rt630x64.sys - Realtek PCI/PCIe Adapters
appliand.sys - Applian Network Service/Applian Technologies APPLIAND helper driver

All the crashes seem network related and all three drivers pre date Windows 8. I will produce a list of all your out of date drivers in a bit so you can update them :-)

Stephen

Hi Stephen,

Thanks for your quick reply!

I updated my Realtek PCI/PCIe adapter driver and uninstalled the Replay Media Catcher which was responsible for the Applian Network Service driver, and the problem seems to be solved! I didn't know it would've been such an easy fix.

As for the Cisco VPN driver, this is the newest one my school provides. It seems to be working fine, so I'd rather not fix what isn't broken :P.

I really appreciate your help!

Thanks and good luck on your homework,
Dean

Not a problem Dean :-) Glad I could be of assistance, and you are right, if it ain't broken, don't fix it!

If problems return, please let me know and I'll be more than happy to help!

If you are interest, I have compiled a list of drivers that are potentially out of date. Use this how you like :)

PEGAGFN.sys - this driver hasn't been added to the DRT as of this run. Please search Google/Bing for the driver if additional information is needed.
