Hi, I have a problem with my notebook, it has switchable graphics, an Intel HD + ATI HD 5470, it works fine with the Intel HD, but when i try to switch to ATI, my screen turns off and my notebook restarts, but when i connect it to an external screen i can see the BSOD crash report, and i dont know what to do :/, i´ve downloaded bluescreenviewer, and it says something about an archive named atikmpag.sys, i will appreciate so much your help :D have a nice day, ohh i forgot, my system specs are:

Windows 7 Home premium (preinstalled) x64
Age of system: 3 years
Core i5 450M 2.4Ghz
ATI HD 5470 + Intel HD graphics (switchable)

HP DM4 1190la (Notebook)

Hi,

There are no dump files located in your jcgriff2 output folder. Can you please navigate to C:\Windows\Minidump, and manually zip up and attach any .DMP's there?

Regards,

Patrick

Sometimes that is the issue, from the HP D/L page for your model laptop download and install both the intel and ATI drivers, install the Intel first and then the ATI driver.

Notebooks are very proprietary and often the OEM's(HP in your case) modify the drivers to work in their system sometimes installing a update from ATI causes the problem.
