Hey guys, hope you can help me out.
My PC is getting frequent BSODs and I do not know why.

Error code shows up as:
kmode exception not handled < mostly this one
kernel security check failure
page fault in nonpaged area
cache_manager

So what have I tried?
  • Prime95 test, No error
  • MemTest, No error
  • Reinstalled windows
  • Turned off FastBoot
  • Tried out windows 11
  • Defaulted all settings in Bios, same issue. ( No mem profile or overclock )
  • Tried disabling cores and threads in Bios
  • changed Vcore to fixed value
  • Swapped ram to new set
  • Changed system disk
  • Turned off TPM
  • updated Bios
  • Flashed older version of bios
  • All drivers are up to date.
  • Nothing is overheating. CPU max 32c idle 60c when stressed
  • Checked voltages in HWmonitor - All stable
  • Driver verifier done. No errors

Now I'm suspecting a bad memory controller on CPU or PSU

Any tips? Or should I buy a new CPU and hope for the best before AMD releases new 7x series and they stop producing older chips?
should I swap out the PSU?

System specs:
Ryzen 3700x
16gb ddr4 Corsair Vengeance LPX running stock DDR4 speeds ( tried with identical but new ones )
RTX 3090 Asus TUF Gaming
Corsair 850w PSU
x570 gigabyte Auros pro
970 evo 500gb SSD
Generic NVME 1tb from Samsung ( stolen from laptop for testing )

Please ensure that all your BIOS settings have been restored to their defaults. By MemTest, do you mean MemTest86 or MemTest86+, how many passes did you run it for? Lastly, what settings did you enable with Driver Verifier?

Could you please remove or disable Team Viewer for now? It seems to consistently causing some odd behavior with win32k.sys which is crashing the system.

Hi! Memtest86, not + edition
I uninstalled every single progrom now that is unnecesary.
I do not remember what settings i used for driver verifier
Even programs has started to crash.

Latest error has been
Heap_Corruption wich caused software to crash.
BSOD Bad_pool_caller
BSOD DPC_Watchdog_violation
BSOD Driver_overran_stack_buffer

Please ensure that you perform a clean boot; when does the system crash? When using Pioneer?

I would suggest ensuring that the BIOS has been set to its default settings and I would suggest installing your Nvidia graphics/sound driver by removing them using DDU and then ensuring that install the latest studio ready driver.

Done DDU and installed Studio drivers.
Skipped audio drivers from Nvidia.

Cleanboot done.

Tying out the pioneer program again. Im using this to peg my cpu at 100%
This software is vital for me to work.

System can crash while browsing the internett. Watching youtube or readint the news. It can also crash when doing absolutley nothing.
i have not found anything that can trigger the crash more then maybe a software crash. except for the pioneer software that was crashing ( not BSOD) after about 2000 songs analysed.
im well over 4000 now and counting. will stress the system to its limit with these settings.

seems to be stable now. but the issue is intermitent so i will post an update in an hour or 2

Thanks!

Why have you skipped the audio driver when I requested that you also install the latest studio driver for sound as well? Please run DDU and then install the latest studio ready sound driver as well. You appear to have a Nvidia sound chip in addition to your Realtek one.

Afterwards, please enable Driver Verifier with the recommend settings by following this tutorial.

Skiped it i removed all sound capabilities from the computer. thinking that might solve the issue. I was wrong.
However. I now switched the placement of the ram from position 2 and 4 to 1 and 3. Turned on XMP ( bios reports it as XMP and not DOCP ) and system has been stable for more then 5 hours.
Alltho i can not finish any benchmark that touches the CPU. So my thoughts are the same. Faulty CPU.

if the system crashes again i will do as instructed to the letter

crashed again. Done DDU and driver installed with Audio.
Driver verifier enabled with settings as guided.

will respond after 24h if nothing hapends

I'm still leaning towards software issues at the moment. If you want to eliminate any possibility of there being a hardware problem then I would recommend booting into Safe Mode with Networking and seeing how stable the system is from there.

It still looks like your Nvidia graphics card/audio drivers are causing problems here as well.

Hi! Me again. Still having issues. I reinstalled windows. Went back to windows 10.
Installed a different GPU, Still Crashing. Got an tcpip.sys error so i have now changed the driver for the intel nic. No crashes after that. but to early to know for sure
System was stable when booting in safe-mode but computer is basically unusable in that mode.

Since the system doesn't crash within Safe Mode then the problem is very likely to be software related. It seems that the Battle.Net process was partially responsible for at least one or two of your crashes.

The difficulty is, you've installed Windows 10 again, but you've also installed third-party programs on top of that which is going make it more difficult to troubleshoot the issue.

Tried safemode for about 48h but not whith this windows installation.

However, just tried it again and it chrashed with error code: win32full.sys

Have not used another PSU, will however change out the CPU later today.

If that does not work, i will change out the PSU as well

Im almost 100% positive that its the CPU
Before i was not able to start blizzard aps or even run a sigle pass in Cinebench.

Il buy a new one and return the one i got in the computer at the moment

Il post updates

Its confirmed. Memorycontoller or broken core on CPU. Computer has not had a single issue after 3 days of running cinebench non stop as well as heaven benchmark for the GPU.
Switched back the cpu to the old one and it crashed again durring startup :')

Thanks everyone for your help!
