Hi,

I raised a post earlier in "security arena" and worked though a set of steps with Corrine - whihc seem to have eliminated malware as being the issue for a server degradation in PC performance. (https://www.sysnative.com/forums/se...re-pc-performance-degradation.html#post130244).

Coincidentally (??) I have observed a few BSOD over the last two days and so have been directed to post here to investigate these.

So I attach a copy of the Sysnsative FileCollectionApp and Perfmon outputs.

Posting instructiosn also advise providing extra information
· OS - Windows 7 SP 1
· x64
· this is the original OS on the system
· OEM version (came pre-installed on system)
· Age of system (hardware) - 4 years ish
· Age of OS installation - have you re-installed the OS? No re-installation

· CPU - Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU 870 @ 2.93GHz
· Video Card - NVIDIA GeForce GT 330
· MotherBoard - (if NOT a laptop) - ipower G5800
· Power Supply - brand & wattage (if laptop, skip this one) - unknown - I think it is 450W

· System Manufacturer Packard Bell
· Exact model number (if laptop, check label on bottom) ipower G5800

· Laptop or Desktop? Desktop

Hope you can help

I have initiated driver verification (using the cmd route as in the posting guidance), rebooted but see noting happening. Is this normal? I know the post also says to allow 24 hours to complete, but don't want to wait 24 hours and then find the job hasn't started or something like that? Any guidance on how to check it is running and what will be visible at the end ?

Thanks

During the 24 hour window of the Driver Verifier, the machine did crash again. Being a bit of a numpty in the BOD space, I ran BlueScreenView to see if it shed any light (was it related to the Driver Verifier or not). I have attached an example screenshot. It looks like the crash may be something to do with my tuner card.

Is it worth disabling the card and restarting? Although as stated in my last post, I have no idea if the driver verifier has worked/was working.

Appreciate and further guidance (and recognise that this is one of many calls on your time)

Many thanks

*bump* - just to confirm the underlying PC performance is unresolved, regardless of the BSOD issue (which hasn't re-occurred)

Grateful if anyone can advise on the issue, or where the PC performance/latency issue is best posted.

Hi!
I see WinDbg shows always TBS6985_64.sys as culprit (if I'm not mistaken).
It should be the driver of TBS6985 DVB-S2 Quad Tuner PCIe Card.
I see in the logs it was updated 31 august 2015 (version 1.0.0.5).
I'd try to roll back to the previous version of it and see what happens (i.e., if the problem disappears).
Anyway, wait for SYSNATIVE STAFF's confirmation, before proceeding!
