Been getting BSoD for weeks now. Usually, I get a different stop code with every new crash, but I get a few repeats: MEMORY_MANAGEMENT, IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL, PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA.

I took to uninstalling any and all software installed in recent memory as well as reverting back to an older video driver, one from before the crashes. I also ran a bunch of antivirus tests to make sure it wasn't a malware issue. None of this worked, so I tried to reset the PC and later repair it via USB. Neither worked due to the frequent crashes.
I then reinstalled Windows, and removed everything from my PC. No fix here as I continued to crash, though with less frequency. Instead, it freezes but allows me to move my cursor around.

Things I've already tried:
Running sfc/scannow, found corruption but didn't fix it
DISM (scan, check, and repair), Scan and check completed but repair gave me error 87, source could not be found or something
Windows Update, 1st try computer froze, 2nd try installed successfully
Memory diagnostic tool, Standard test completed but crashed upon reboot, extended test got stuck mid way through
SFCFix, program crashed
chkdsk c: /f /r, completed but got a IRQL not less or equal about an hour into using the PC

Other observations: CPU temps are pretty standard, doesn't exceed 72ish degrees Celsius under load. CPU was overclocked to 3.7 ghz from 3.2. Voltage was 1.2500v. This was done in Ryzen Master not bios. About the time I started getting BSoDs, the clock speed would change when idle. It goes from 1.55 to 2.8 to 3.7 and repeats. When under load from Prime95 though, the speed stayed consistent.
WhoCrashed says ntoskrnl is responsible for the crash. Windows occasionally says ntfs.sys fails upon BSoD.

OS: Windows 10 Home x64, originally Windows 7

All hardware except for the PSU is less than 1 year old
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 1400
GPU: Nvidia GTX 1070 FTW
Mobo: MSI Krait Gaming X370
PSU: Corsair: TX 750
Memory: Ballistix Sport LT 8Gb Kit

Re: Reinstalled Windows 10 to fix corrupted files, BSoD. Didn't fix anything.

....I then reinstalled Windows, and removed everything from my PC. No fix here as I continued to crash, though with less frequency. Instead, it freezes but allows me to move my cursor around.
Given that you reinstalled Windows (which you say did not help), I would have to say that we're looking for unknown hardware failure here.

....[ran] Memory diagnostic tool, Standard test completed but crashed upon reboot, extended test got stuck mid way through...
It sounds to me like you ran the Windows onboard memory (RAM) tester. Not the best test to use.

Run memtest86+ - run 1 stick at a time; alternate the slots - Test RAM With Memtest86+

7 passes minimum per stick per slot.

....Running sfc/scannow, found corruption but didn't fix it ...
How sure are you that the DVD or USB that you used to reinstall Windows was OK? You should not have corrupted files after a fresh install (per SFC). Something is wrong somewhere - whether it be the device that you used to install Windows (USB/DVD) or your system is suffering from unknown hardware failure. Possibly the RAM was unable to properly hold kernel code during the installation of Windows; the HDD is bad; could even be an issue with the motherboard, PSU, etc... - any hardware part.

I ran the 5 BSOD dumps provided in the attached zip file.

Here are the results of those 5 dumps:

Please note that "memory corruption" does NOT necessarily mean bad RAM.

I see that you have several HDDs/SSDs installed.

Make sure that the firmware is upgraded for the SSDs - *VERY IMPORTANT *

Code:
120 GB Corsair Neutron GTX SSD
http://www.corsair.com/en-us/blog/2013/may/the-corsair-ssd-toolbox

Code:
60 GB ADATA SP900 SSD
Premier Pro SP900 Solid State Drive | ADATA

We need to check the hard drives next.

HDDs..
Code:
7.26 GB SanDisk Cruzer USB Device (USB stick - test it anyway)
1 TB WDC WD10EZEX-60WN4A0
500 GB TOSHIBA DT01ACA050
For each of the 3 HDDs, run SeaTools for DOS, LONG test - https://www.sysnative.com/forums/hardware-tutorials/4072-hard-drive-hdd-diagnostics.html

Run a separate test for each HDD.

Which is your OS drive?

The dumps really told us nothing. Unfortunately, the dumps are incapable of telling us which piece of hardware has failed. Dumps are only good for figuring out software problems.

Were all of the drives present when you reinstalled Windows?

Please update the SSD firmware, run SeaTools for DOS on each HDD; run memtest86+.

Hi twillo. :welcome:

A new bios is present and available (yours is 1.1):
Read More:
Not sure about your ram model.
The information about the exact model is welcome.
RAM speed shows 1200MHz, both in the dumps and in the raminfo.html.
It seems we should double the speed when examining MBs supporting AMD processors, therefore current speed is 2400MHz.
The sticks should be seated in DIMMA2 & DIMMB2, i.e. 2nd & 4th slots starting from the cpu, i.e. the black slots.
It seems they are in the correct slots, seeing logs, but I'm not totally sure of it (hence I ask).
On motherboard webpage, there are (third V could mean they tried all 4 slots, but didn't try the models alone? Don't know):

Drivers:
Read More:
GPU seems to be supported (MSI V330-15S Nvidia Geforce GTX 1070 8192 GDDR5 x16 Gen3 1).
Instead I didn't check storage support.

I did everything you said and all came back fine except for one stick during the Memtest. It found errors in each test so I removed it and the computer seems to be running fine.
However, since removing the bad stick, I've been running into an error when starting certain applications like Steam. It reads
"The application has failed to start because the side by side configuration is incorrect etc."
I saw some one suggest uninstall redundant C++ Redistributable files but when attempting to do so I got the same error. I ran sfc and dism twice and both completed successfully without correcting the error. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Reinstalled Windows 10 to fix corrupted files, BSoD. Didn't fix anything.

Please test another stick of RAM in that slot to confirm it was the stick and not the slot.
Was the Visual C++ Redistributable uninstall successful or not?
Which versions of it do you have installed?

There appears to be a corruption somewhere (based on the message), we just have to find it.

Re: Reinstalled Windows 10 to fix corrupted files, BSoD. Didn't fix anything.

I ran the stick in both slots and it passed.
The uninstall was unsuccessful. When I clicked uninstall, it gave me the "The application has failed to start because the side by side configuration is incorrect" error again.
The version is 2015 x64

Re: Reinstalled Windows 10 to fix corrupted files, BSoD. Didn't fix anything.

Can you please export your Event Viewer logs for me? Especially the Administrative Events.
Thank you.

These are just the first ~500 admin events, there are about 500 more if you need to see them. I also included the application events from the past two days or so. View attachment events.zip

Re: Reinstalled Windows 10 to fix corrupted files, BSoD. Didn't fix anything.

Everything I see here points to C:\Users\Mike\Downloads\vcredist_x64.exe". Dependent Assembly Microsoft.Windows.Common-Controls,language="*",processorArchitecture="X86",publicKeyToken="6595b64144ccf1df",type="win32",version="6.0.0.0" could not be found. Please use sxstrace.exe for detailed diagnosis.

That's the one that's missing.

Re: Reinstalled Windows 10 to fix corrupted files, BSoD. Didn't fix anything.

What do you suggest I do?

Re: Reinstalled Windows 10 to fix corrupted files, BSoD. Didn't fix anything.

I suggest you run the following command from an elevated Command Prompt:

SxsTrace Trace -logfile:SxsTrace.etl

This will start a trace, now go and open one of the apps that error out, wait for the error to appear. Close it.

Return to the cmd window, hit Enter to stop the trace, and enter the following:

sxstrace Parse -logfile:SxSTrace.etl -outfile:SxSTrace.txt

Find the sxstrace.txt file and attach it here.

Re: Reinstalled Windows 10 to fix corrupted files, BSoD. Didn't fix anything.

I'm pretty confident that you're missing some files from your winsxs folder.

Run sfc /scannow from an elevated CMD prompt.

Post the results.

Re: Reinstalled Windows 10 to fix corrupted files, BSoD. Didn't fix anything.

It didn't find any violations.

Re: Reinstalled Windows 10 to fix corrupted files, BSoD. Didn't fix anything.

Please take a screenshot of your Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables listed in Programs and features in Control Panel.

Re: Reinstalled Windows 10 to fix corrupted files, BSoD. Didn't fix anything.

Install every version from 2005 onwards, because some applications were not designed to operate on later versions, I have 16 different versions (8 actually times two because of the x86 and x64).

Re: Reinstalled Windows 10 to fix corrupted files, BSoD. Didn't fix anything.

I can't install them because it gives me the side by side config error. Same thing happens when I try to uninstall the version I already have.

Re: Reinstalled Windows 10 to fix corrupted files, BSoD. Didn't fix anything.

Aha, let's try this then:

Boot into Clean Boot mode, and do the following:

1. Uninstall all "Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable" (in your case 2015)

2. Restart your computer

3. Go to this link: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2019667/ and download:

- 2013 -> First item -> x64 and x86

- 2012 -> First (and only) item -> x64 and x86

- 2010 -> Second item -> x64 and x86

- 2008 -> Second item -> x64 and x86

- 2005 -> Third item -> x64 and x86

4. Restart your computer again

Re: Reinstalled Windows 10 to fix corrupted files, BSoD. Didn't fix anything.

Performed the clean boot. I've been having trouble getting to the programs list through the control panel. When I finally got through, there was an error trying to uninstall the package, it said it might already be uninstalled, and asked to remove it from the list. In Apps & Features, it gave me the side by side error again.
