Hi, this is my first time here, and as you can guess, I have a problem of BSOD "reference by pointer". I don't know a lot about computer, so any help you could provide will be a great help.
I'ts been a while since the first blue screen appeared, and I follow a few instructions I found online but nothing works. So now I seek your help. Here some info:
  • A brief description of your problem (but you can also include the steps you tried): I think the first time a BSOD appeared was after I download an update of adobe, but I tried deleting the app and nothing happended.
  • System Manufacturer? Dell
  • Laptop or Desktop? Laptop
  • Exact model number (if laptop, check label on bottom): Inspiron 5559
  • OS ? (Windows 10, 8.1, 8, 7, Vista): Window 10
  • x86 (32bit) or x64 (64bit)?: x64
  • What was original installed OS on system? Window 8 (I think)
  • Is the OS an OEM version: OEM, came pre-installed on system
  • Age of system? (hardware) : 2019-05-10
  • Age of OS installation? 2021-02-08
  • Have you re-installed the OS? I think so
  • CPU: Intel(R) Core(M) i5-6200V
  • RAM (brand, EXACT model, what slots are you using?): FBD2, M471B5173EB0-YK0, slot: DIMM A
  • Video Card: Intel(R) HD Graphics 520
  • Is driver verifier enabled or disabled? Enabled
  • What security software are you using? (Firewall, antivirus, antimalware, antispyware, and so forth): ESET
  • Are you using proxy, vpn, ipfilters or similar software? I use a VPN to work from home.
  • Are you using Disk Image tools? (like daemon tools, alcohol 52% or 120%, virtual CloneDrive, roxio software): I have Visual CD v10 installed, but it's been a while since I needed to use it.
  • Are you currently under/overclocking? Are there overclocking software installed on your system? No
I had to look on the net to find where to look to get most of this info, I hope everything's there.

Thanks for all the help you could give.

Could you please remove any Dell software from the system, it appears to be causing issues.

You can simply use Google Translate or any other online translator. I'm not sure why you have to explicitly mention this. I've mentioned to you before that you shouldn't ask or insinuate that the user should change their language settings for the benefit of you.

The Intel driver installer will install over Dell drivers so I'm not sure why you're suggesting this. The key problem at the moment is the Dell driver, you shouldn't be requesting the user to install several different drivers simply because their associated services crashed.

Hi, thanks for the answeres.

When I checked I had a lot of update to do with Dell apps, but even with the last update installed, I still got the BSOD problem. I looked with "services" to stop the Dell apps, but they seem to run again when I restart my computeur. Is there a way that I can stop them from starting when I open my computer, or do I need to uninstall them? If possible I would like to try and find out which one is problematic without having to remove all of the Dell apps.

You'll need to remove all of them. They're known to cause a number of different crashes. They aren't required programs either, your operating system will run fine without them.
