Hello, I'm new in this forum. I'm shezaei_neko.
And I require your assistance.
Around two months ago, I got my first BSOD on my PC, but then in the next months I got it again. And it was the same error. I suck at this PC business, but when it crashed again yesterday, I decided I couldn't let it happen again for my PC's safety. So here I'm trying to get some help.

When I first got the BSOD the error was: WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR.
So, after some brief reading, it said it could be a driver issue. Do I ran the Driver Verifier (I'm not sure if I did it right). After I rebooted the PC, it started normally, but then it crashed again and the error showing was: SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION
I think that it is indeed a driver issue, but I don't know which one or what else I can do.
I tried to run the steps for the Driver Verifier and after a bit of trouble I think I was able to get the files needed.
I'll post them here along with what info I could get.

OS - Windows 8
· 64-bit, x-64
· What was original installed OS on system? a copy of Windows 7.
· Is the OS an OEM version (came pre-installed on system) or full retail version (YOU purchased it from retailer)? Retail Version.
· Age of system (hardware)
· Age of OS installation - have you re-installed the OS? - It has not been re-installed. Installed on May 2013.
I know I have an AMDFX-6300 six core processor 3.50 GHz And RAM of 8GB.
Powered by Asus
Acteck 500W - 24pines S-ATA
My PC is assembled. I got all the parts at a retail store.

· CPU
-----------------------> Where can I check this?
· Video Card
-----------------------> Where can I check this?
·
MotherBoard
-----------------------> Where can I check this?
· Power Supply - brand & wattage (if laptop, skip this one) -----------------------> Where can I check this??

· System Manufacturer
-----------------------> Where can I check this??
· Exact model number (if laptop, check label on bottom) -----------------------> Where can I check this??

When the PC has crashed, I've been only browsing on the internet while running iTunes. I'm not even watching movies or playing games or anything. Just doing normal stuff.
Any help is fully appreciated.
Thanks. I'll try to get more info, but I'll need you to guide me step by step since I suck at this stuff.

Here are the files.

LASTEST DUMP FILE I got when the PC crashed ---- http://rapidshare.com/files/4064655338/081013-21621-01.dmp - direct access.zip

Hi,

We have various different bugchecks here, a few *124.

Before addressing those, we have a SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION (3b) bugcheck (the dump is also verifier enabled) faulting aswSnx.sys which is the avast! Virtualization Driver. For temporary troubleshooting purposes, I am going to recommend removing !avast using the removal tool and replacing it with Windows 8's built-in Windows Defender.

!avast removal tool - avast! Uninstall Utility | Download aswClear for avast! Removal

Also, ensure you have the latest video card drivers as this is a *3B bugcheck. If you are already on the latest video card drivers, uninstall and install a version or a few versions behind the latest to ensure it's not a latest driver only issue. If you have already experimented with the latest video card driver and many previous versions, please give the beta driver for your card a try.

If you still have issues after the above, let's move onto the *124 dumps:

In regards to the WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR (124) bugchecks, let's run an !errrec on the WER structure (2nd parameter) to get more info:

Code:
===============================================================================
Section 2 : x86/x64 MCA
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Descriptor @ fffffa80069b9138
Section @ fffffa80069b92c0
Offset : 664
Length : 264
Flags : 0x00000000
Severity : Fatal

[COLOR=#ff0000][U][B]Error         : ICACHELG_IRD_ERR (Proc 5 Bank 1)[/B][/U][/COLOR]
  Status : 0xb600000000100153
  Address : 0x0000000000000000
  Misc. : 0x0000000000000000

It appears to be a cache issue, POSSIBLY processor related, although we will see. In all of the *124 dumps, we have a consistent bank (1).

MODULE_NAME: hardware

IMAGE_NAME: hardware

DEBUG_FLR_IMAGE_TIMESTAMP: 0

FAILURE_BUCKET_ID: X64_0x124_AuthenticAMD_PROCESSOR_CACHE

Module / image name listed as hardware imply this was more than likely not caused by software or a driver, but more-so the processor itself having a cache issue.

How are the temperatures of the system? Is everything within standard? You can download a program such as Speccy to see your temperatures for various components.

Have you tried clearing the CMOS to ensure we don't have an improper BIOS setting? How To Clear CMOS (Reset BIOS)

I downloaded Speccy and here's the info it gave me. The basic info I mean.

Temperatures look fine when idle, and given you said this happens whilst idle, this is not an overheating issue.

If you've removed !avast and cleared the CMOS and you are still crashing, your processor is likely faulty and will need to be RMA'd. To be sure though, you can run Memtest to check your memory:

Memtest86+:

Download Memtest86+ here:

Memtest86+ - Advanced Memory Diagnostic Tool

Which should I download?

You can either download the pre-compiled ISO that you would burn to a CD and then boot from the CD, or you can download the auto-installer for the USB key. What this will do is format your USB drive, make it a bootable device, and then install the necessary files. Both do the same job, it's just up to you which you choose, or which you have available (whether it's CD or USB).

How Memtest works:

Memtest86 writes a series of test patterns to most memory addresses, reads back the data written, and compares it for errors.

The default pass does 9 different tests, varying in access patterns and test data. A tenth test, bit fade, is selectable from the menu. It writes all memory with zeroes, then sleeps for 90 minutes before checking to see if bits have changed (perhaps because of refresh problems). This is repeated with all ones for a total time of 3 hours per pass.

Many chipsets can report RAM speeds and timings via SPD (Serial Presence Detect) or EPP (Enhanced Performance Profiles), and some even support changing the expected memory speed. If the expected memory speed is overclocked, Memtest86 can test that memory performance is error-free with these faster settings.

Some hardware is able to report the "PAT status" (PAT: enabled or PAT: disabled). This is a reference to Intel Performance acceleration technology; there may be BIOS settings which affect this aspect of memory timing.

This information, if available to the program, can be displayed via a menu option.

Any other questions, they can most likely be answered by reading this great guide here:

FAQ : please read before posting

Patrick

You could also run Prime95, I would suggest running the Small FFT's, Large FFT's and Blend test for a few hours each. Do not let the temperature exceed 80*C, stop the test immediately if it does.

Hello, it's me again.
While checking my PC I opened the AMD VISION ENGINE control center. And it showed an error report.
And the application name is: atieclxx.exe

Then I opened the Windows solution center and showed this. I just copied what it says and pasted it here (sorry that is in spanish)

It just shows that the ATI Control Panel has crashed because of a access violation.

Have you ran the requested Prime95 tests?
