Hi there, I'm hoping someone can help me with an issue that started out of the blue (no pun intended) today and that I can't seem to resolve by myself. I'm not completely computer illiterate and can trouble shoot most things with the help of Google but I'm getting nowhere with constant blue screen after blue screen. These can range from happening every 2 minutes to once an hour, but they have persisted all day and I haven't installed anything new or done anything different.

I have done a system restore to the end of last month and have ran the SlimDrivers tool to update all of my drivers to try to resolve things by myself, but the crashes still occur. So I then found your website and this thread https://www.sysnative.com/forums/bs...ng-instructions-windows-10-8-1-8-7-vista.html and tried to follow the instructions to attach the two requested zip files in the hope that anyone could tell me what to do.

Sorry if I missed anything, and please ask for any further information. I wasn't sure if you needed me to describe what is happening or if the files would be sufficient

Thanks ever so much to ANYONE who can help me in any way, this is beyond frustrating!

Cheers
Russ

Updating topic with system info, as I've managed to get this far between blue screens. My friend suggested downloading BlueScreenView which I did, but despite a multitude of BSODs it only has one dmp file in the Minidump folder. I am happy to post this if it is relevant (and someone explains the best way to display it - do I just zip it?).

For system info:
· OS - Windows 7
· x64 ?
· What was original installed OS on system? This one
· Is the OS an OEM version (came pre-installed on system) or full retail version (YOU purchased it from retailer)? Pre-installed
· Age of system (hardware) -back end of 2013ish
· Age of OS installation - have you re-installed the OS? Not done a thing to it since purchasing

· CPU - Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3770K CPU @ 3.50GHz
· Video Card - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680 DirectCU II TOP
· MotherBoard - Gigabyte Z77X-UP4 TH Intel Z77
· Power Supply - Don't know?

· System Manufacturer - custom PC from overclockers.co.uk

EDIT: I'm also currently running verifier.exe after following the instructions.

This is continuing to happen, BSOD sometimes immediately upon startup, sometimes I get a few minutes to play with like now. Only 3 times has it actually left a dmp file behind though. I still have verifier.exe running and will attach the extra dmp files I now have. They all seem to point towards something called hal.dll and ntoskrnl.exe but I am too out of my depth to interpret why or where, or how to resolve the issue.

WER shows bad L2 cache. So do the rest, regardless of processor #.

IMO you have a bad CPU, plain and simple. It's hard to make that call though when you have awful software like slimdrivers installed. Why? Just get drivers from the manufacturers website, it's the best and easiest way.

The rest of the ways you're just exposing yourself to problems.
