Hi,
My 2 years old laptop started with some bsod few weeks ago. I did a memcheck for the ram and HD diag with seegates tools (because hitachi tools wern't detecting my hitachi Harddrive).
I installed Window 7 Pro instead of familial after formating my pc but now I got even more Bsod : when I play a video, play a game, browse internet and wake my pc up. I have a lots of freeze aswell.

I tryed to do the sysnativeBSOD. but it couldn't finish : error.png .
The error message is : System couldn't find the key or the specified registre value. (or something close)

I try to upload my crashdump but i keep getting BSOD while writing this message and uploading Memory.DMP to mediafire. (i'll give the link asap)
Sometimes the Pc shut down and reboot asking me to put a bootable disk and then press a button...

I'll submit the perfmon /report asap aswell, I need to upload it too on mediafire.

I would greatly appreciate help because I did everything I could find on internet.

I will need the dump files to find the exact source of the crash, the Kernel memory dump you are trying to upload would provide a huge help.
However, it does sound like your drive is failing, unfortunately it will need replacing.
Lets see what the dump files say,

Thanks for your answer, i'll be able to post it in about 20 min if everything goes well.
Drive = harddrive? It's seems easy to change on my laptop, it could be worse

Here are the info I could gather

·
OS - Windows 7 Professionnel ‎(X64)‎ Service Pack 1
· What was original installed OS on system? NO
· The OS was given by me school
· Age of system (hardware) - ~2 years.
· Age of OS installation: ~4 days.
· have you re-installed the OS? Yes few days ago for the 1st time.

· CPU -Intel Core i3 2350M 2.30 GHz
· Video Card - NVIDIA GeForce 610M and Intel(R) HD Graphics 3000 ??? I don't know why (i got the information from Easily explore your PC)
· MotherBoard -
ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. X75VD 1.0
· Hd - HitachiHTS547575A9E384 de 698.64 Go SATA II
· System Manufacturer - Asus
· Exact model number - Asus X75VD

· Laptop

Yes, drive means hard drive but I normally refer to it as drive incase people have an SSD.
So yes, the drive does seem on it's last legs.
Just upload the dump files when possible so I can confirm.

It looks like a failing disk but it's difficult as it's a 0xF4 with only a Kernel memory dump.
What other bugchecks are you getting?

Next time you upload a dump file, can you please compress it as it takes my amazing internet long to download 500MB.

Where can i find other bugchecks ? Ow I didn't though of this... i'll keep that in mind (compressing). I'll start a movie, it'll probably make my pc crash again.

Bonjour Robin,

According to your screenshot, assuming I am correct in my French, it's noting that it cannot find the key/value regarding the specified registry. This is a known bug and we're working to fix it, and will have it fixed by the next release. It's an issue on foreign Windows versions (French, German, etc....) as they have a different registry setting than the app was designed.

Thanks very much for posting the screenshot as it's a big help.

Not to take away from Jared's analysis as he was here first and this is his thread, but I just thought I'd lend a quick hand to lay the groundwork so Jared's internet doesn't have to be tortured! : )

CRITICAL_OBJECT_TERMINATION (f4)

This indicates that a process or thread crucial to system operation has unexpectedly exited or been terminated.

Code:
1: kd> !process fffffa8005ddfb30 3
PROCESS fffffa8005ddfb30
    SessionId: 1 Cid: 0238 Peb: 7fffffdd000 ParentCid: 0228
    DirBase: 974bd000 ObjectTable: fffff8a001861b10 HandleCount: 302.
    Image: [COLOR=#ff0000]csrss.exe[/COLOR]

The Client/Server Runtime Subsystem was the process that unexpectedly crashed. This was what inevitably threw the bug check. What caused the process to crash? Good question!

You're not exhausting your nonpaged pool:

Code:
*** Virtual Memory Usage ***
    Physical Memory: 1018851 ( 4075404 Kb)
    Page File: \??\C:\pagefile.sys
Current: 4075404 Kb Free Space: 3933564 Kb
Minimum: 4075404 Kb Maximum: 12226212 Kb
    Available Pages: 493927 ( 1975708 Kb)
    ResAvail Pages: 916226 ( 3664904 Kb)
    Locked IO Pages: 0 ( 0 Kb)
    Free System PTEs: 33440205 ( 133760820 Kb)
    Modified Pages: 12666 ( 50664 Kb)
    Modified PF Pages: 6832 ( 27328 Kb)
    NonPagedPool Usage: [COLOR=#0000cd]17409 [/COLOR]( 69636 Kb)
    NonPagedPool Max: [COLOR=#0000cd]752424 [/COLOR]( 3009696 Kb)

And the exception itself is an access violation:

Code:
EXCEPTION_CODE: (NTSTATUS) 0xc0000005

So it's not likely a bad hard disk, but a software conflict.

Remove and replace Avira with Microsoft Security Essentials for temporary troubleshooting purposes as it's very likely causing file system conflicts:

Avira removal - How do I uninstall my Avira product?

MSE - Microsoft Security Essentials - Microsoft Windows

No problem Patrick, thanks for the assistance.

Thanks, I'm removing avira, (what a wolrd, you can't even trust the antivirus) And this bug related to foreign country version causes some issue to the Pc ? edit : But I use avira since i got the laptop, why the issues only started now ?

Sorry, you misinterpreted Patrick's post.
The bug is related to the log collection post, it has nothing to dow tiht eh actual BSODs.

But I use avira since i got the laptop, why the issues only started now ?

Could be a recent definition update causing conflicts, recent Windows Update causing conflicts with a recent definition update, recent program installed.... etc. Lots of possibilities.

Regards,

Patrick

Thanks for answering so fast !
I'm a bit lost, i'm sorry.
Avira was causing the freeze/bsod ?
And the issue related to the country version was causing the probleme from sysnativeBSOD ?

Hi again, I had an other Bsod after 45 min of video, was a kernel data inpage error 0000007a but when I restarted (to upload the dump file) it frozed right after the windows logo. I shut it down manualy and rebooted again the pc to upload the dump. But I got a bsod again (000000f4) (less than 5 min after the computer restarted). If i upload the dump file, it's be the 00000f4 error log or the 000007a one ? Should I still try to upload the dump file ? (dunno if I'll be able to because the BSOD are happening all the time now..)

I can't boot my laptop anymore, Computer is stuck on a window : Boot reparation your pc couldn't boot
and he is trying to repair (probably pointless) should I reinstal the OS ?
I must admit I'm starting to lose my calm on this laptop, you think it's possible to fix it ? ori should jump to the "buy a new laptop" step ?

Just as I thought.
Your hard drive is failing, I would buy a replacement.
If you can get your hard drive out of the computer then you can replace it without a new laptop.

The hard drive seems pretty easy to change I think i can do it, i'll try that tomorow. Are the drives sepcific for each laptop? or any internal drive should work ? and shouldi buy a ssd one ? (I heard they failed less than Hd)

Drives for laptops are smaller than drives for desktops but both have standard sizes where most should fit.
As for an SSD that depends on whether or not you're downloading a lot of files as most laptops only have space for one drive (SSDs are much smaller in space, unless you're willing to spend a lot of money on ones with a higher capacity).
They don't fail more or less (IMO), you can get ones that last a long time and some that even fail within days of purchase.
Samsung and Western Digital are good brands.
