Hello! My new laptop has been bluescreening for a few weeks now, sometimes multiple times a day, with a WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR issue. It almost always bluescreens within minutes of waking if I leave it hibernating overnight. It feels ice cold to the touch in the morning so I don't think it's overclocking, especially if it's hibernating during that time? I just bought this laptop at the beginning of September for this semester of college so I'm puzzled.

The second or third time that I got a BSOD, my laptop updated the BIOS. It did not fix the problem.

I also have a CBS log from this morning. When it was done running, it said:
"Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them."

I currently have Malwarebytes Premium installed. Scans show no issues detected.

· HP Spectre x360 Convertible Laptop
· Model Number 15-df0033dx
· Hardware seems recent? I think it was one of HP's latest models at the time of purchase.

· Windows 10 x64 (64-bit)
· Original OS is Windows 10
· I think the OS is Retail, although I'm unsure.
· OS installed on September 6, 2019

· Intel Core i7-8565U CPU @ 1.80GHz 1.99 GHz
· There are two video cards listed? Intel UHD Graphics 620 and NVIDIA GeForce MX150

It's not super urgent since I'm able to work around it by saving my work every few minutes in case it bluescreens, but it's gotten rather annoying and I'd like to find a fix so it doesn't persist forever.
Thank you very much for any help you may provide!

Hi Pallaleiga,

Welcome to Sysnative.

Could you remove the overclocking just in case, it's not uncommon for overclocking to cause hardware related issues even though the overclock may seem stable.

Hello! I attempted to, but there was nothing within the BIOS for overclocking. I am unsure how else I can adjust those settings.

The easiest way would be to reset the BIOS settings.

Hi 👍
The CPU can't be overclocked! and isn't.
the problem is the CPU-Cache
Code:
Error : DCACHEL2_DRD_ERR (Proc 6 Bank 7)

might come from corrupt files you encountered in the cbs.log which is handled not in this section as far i know.
did you ever run sfc /scannow fron cmd to fix it?
on the other hand, you stated malwarebyte is your antivirusprotection, so why did you not uninstall Mc Afee Trial first?
never a good idea runing two scanners, and even a expired one produces pretty funny results.
that has to be fixed first.

Thanks for correcting me, I must've misread the post.

I ran the scan to get that CBS.log, but I've still encountered BSODs since then so it doesn't appear to have fixed anything 😞

I began experiencing BSODs while McAfee's trial was still active on this laptop, before it ran out and I installed Malwarebytes. I also uninstalled McAfee pretty soon after installing Malwarebytes because the popup reminders about buying it were getting on my nerves LOL. I was not aware that it could cause issues to have multiple installed at the same time, but I will be more careful about that in the future!
