Greetings,

Recently my pc has been crashing randomly (once a day or so) and i can't figure out the cause. Sadly CCleaner deleted the other dmp files before i was aware of it but they all reported the same error. I've updated all drivers i could think of but to no avail.

I've ran SSD diagnostics and it says both SSD's are in perfect health. I've also let memtest86 run for 10 passes with no errors found. I've enabled driver verifier according to instructions but so far nothing; will let it run for 24 hours as specified and post results tomorrow should it cause a crash.

System temps (CUPID HWMonitor):
MB 28C - 45C (max temp 46C, depending on which sensor),
CPU 25C - 36C (max temp 40C, depending on which core),
SSD's 35C and 37C respectively,
Data HDD 32C,
GPU 40C (max temp 68C when under heavy load)

Edit:
It appears i already had driver verifier enabled and the BSOD crash happened with driver verifier enabled. The dmp file is the driver verifier enabled one (that should be in the zip file).

Hi Hei. :welcome:

I've just checked your perfmon report and these are the problems found:
  • The device, Microsoft PS/2 Mouse, is reporting "tv_ConfigMgrErr24". This device will not be available until the issue is resolved. The Plug and Play ID for this device is ACPI\PNP0F03\0.
  • The device, Standard PS/2 Keyboard, is reporting "tv_ConfigMgrErr24". This device will not be available until the issue is resolved. The Plug and Play ID for this device is ACPI\PNP0303\0.
  • The Security Center is unable to identify an active anti-virus application. Either there is no anti-virus product installed or it is not recognized. (It seems you have ms essentials and malwarebytes, correct?)
  • User Access Control is disabled. It is highly recommended that you run Windows with User Access Control enabled.
  • VirtualCloneDrive is installed
  • Daemon tools is installed

Actually I can't check the minidump, but the most likely culprits could be virtualclonedrive and daemon tools and I'd start with uninstall those for first (at least to exclude them, the time to solve your problem... If possible!).

Hey,

Well my mouse (Logitech G502) and keyboard (Razer Blackwidow) work perfectly so i don't know whats that about or how to fix it (both drivers from their official sites).
Yes i have MSEssentials and Malwarebytes.
I uninstalled DaemonTools in favor of VirtualCloneDrive (since trial expired and VCD is free) so i don't know why the daemon tools driver remained. Do i remove it by just finding the driver and deleting it?
I will uninstall VirtualCloneDrive.

Thanks!

In system information, daemon tools is in component - storage - scsi and in software environment - system drivers.

(dtproscsibus - DAEMON Tools Pro Virtual SCSI Bus - c:\windows\system32\drivers\dtproscsibus.sys - Kernel Driver - started: Yes - start mode: Manual - state: Running - status: OK ....)

You could probably find it and uninstall it from device manager (menu view - show hidden devices - controllor ide? controller scsi?), without touching directly the driver or through SC command...

Found it (Daemon tools virtual SCSI Bus) and uninstalled it. Using the same method i also found these two and uninstalled them.

Edit:

After restarting the computer the Microsoft PS/2 Mouse and Standard PS/2 Keyboard came back so i don't know how to remove them permanently.

We'll need a Kernel dump from C:\Windows\MEMORY.dmp to look at any relevant information. Upload it to a 3rd party file sharing site, and paste the download link here.

I changed the settings from small memory dump to kernel memory dump so next time the system crashes i will upload it. Thanks!

Hi Hei,

Your activation seems to be a OEM SLP from ASUS, as it is used on a retail Gigabyte motherboard your installation is counterfeit.
