Friends pc who installed Windows 10 by mistake and rolled back to Windows 7

this might be a silly question -the procedures in the BSOD on what to post, how can I carry these out if the machine won't boot, no mouse or keyboard were working in Safe Mode, would i use command line, a live cd or something else.
Managed to get mouse and keyboard working in Safe Mode by using a backup of Registry.

OS - Windows 7 Pro x64 originally installed OEM version
Dell Vostro 270 Desktop
Age-2013/2014
CPU- G2020

Hi Jared

couldn't uninstall Kaspersky in safe mode - managed to tweak registry to accomplish this - but it still wouldn't uninstall. Just got stuck at unregistering components. Downloaded Kaspersky removal tool and ran it twice that seemed to do the trick and PC booted normally.

Thanks very much for your time and patience it is very much appreciated. Is there anything else you require me to do.

No, that's everything. Let me know if any other issues arise. Do you intend on trying to keep Kaspersky?
If not, ESET is a good alternative.

Just reinstalled Kaspersky because he still had 200 days licence left but I will mention to him about ESET if he has any further problems. Can i ask if the reason you requested to remove Kaspersky was because of klbackupflt.sys driver that was mention in the dump file. I had looked up the information for that driver and found that it was indeed related to Kaspersky.

Yes, that was the reason. It was causing thread exceptions on boot.
