Hello,

Recently, whenever I shut down my computer,
I've gotten a BSOD with error code 0x9f (Driver_Power_State_Failure).
I've attempted updating as many drivers as possible, no success.
Please advise how to resolve the issue.

Additional information is below:

* OS - Windows 8.1

Fortunately, I didn't have to look much further than the raw stack to find a probable cause. However, if the issues persist, then it would be best to upload a Kernel Memory Dump which contains much more information. The file can be found here:

Code:
C:\Windows\MEMORY.DMP

Place the file into a compressed folder, and upload using the same method as before.

Code:
0: kd> [COLOR=#008000]lmvm nvmf6264[/COLOR]

start end module name

The driver seems to belong to a nVidia network driver, which is usually part of the nVidia chipset. I would suggest updating a newer version of the driver - Drivers - Download NVIDIA Drivers

Thank you for your attention.

I've checked NVIDIA driver per URL you mentioned:

Not sure if it's related to nVidia network driver or not, but it looks OK from my side.

I will share Complete memory dump once I catch it.

That is for your graphics processor, have you checked the motherboard support page?

After some time I've caught the issue again (I've enabled Complete Memory Dump before that).
There is the mentioned Complete Memory Dump:
https://onedrive.live.com/redir?res...235&authkey=!AGohASSeY231xGY&ithint=file,.zip
Output of Windbg tool below:

I've checked this URL but not sure what is my model:

You upload a Kernel Memory Minidump, a Kernel Memory Dump/Complete Memory Dump is:

Code:
C:\Windows\MEMORY.DMP

I wouldn't upload a Complete Memory Dump, since it will the entire Kernel and User Address Space which has been mapped to physical memory, and is going to be a really big file.

Please use the https://www.sysnative.com/forums/bs...ctions-windows-8-1-8-7-and-windows-vista.html and then upload the corresponding zip file, I should be able to find the in there.

Code:
0: kd> [COLOR=#008000]!sysinfo machineid[/COLOR]

I've highlighted your chipset model, I can't find the exact model though. You could try the command line method - Get computer model

There is output with the model of my nettop:
Code:
C:\Windows\system32>wmic computersystem get model,name,manufacturer,systemtype
Manufacturer Model Name SystemType
nVidia MCP79 AQUILA x64-based PC

There is only one way I was able to check chipset driver's state.
The official site Motherboards and PC Motherboards - NVIDIA nForce Motherboards was useless for me.
I used Driver Pack Solution DriverPack Solution >> Best Drivers installation Software and found out that drivers for nVidia chipset are up to date.
Here are screenshots with details:

Sorry for confusion with Complete Memory Dump.
I was sure I got it, because I set following settings:

https://onedrive.live.com/redir?res...uthkey=!AEpyFubeSbjyJY8&v=3&ithint=photo,.png
I will try to reproduce the issue one more time and will provide the Complete Memory Dump once I get it.

I've reproduced the issue Driver_Power_State_Failure but Complete Memory Dump has not been generated:
Instead of it Minidump has been generated.
Code:
C:\Windows\Minidump>dir

Why are looking in the Minidump folder? You should have used this command instead:

Code:
dir C:\Windows\

It's going to be difficult without a Kernel Memory Dump. The settings should be like this:

Settings.JPG

I've set to dump Kernel Memory Dump as you specified:

20140510.startup and recovery.png

Then I've reproduced the issue but the Kernel Memory Dump has not been generated:
Code:
C:\Windows\system32>dir %SystemRoot%\MEMORY.DMP
Volume in drive C is HD640G01-36G
 Volume Serial Number is 8017-74C4

 Directory of C:\Windows

[B]File Not Found[/B]

Not sure what I missed.

Though the Dump has been generated in C:\Windows\Minidump:

Code:
C:\Windows\system32>dir C:\Windows\Minidump
Volume in drive C is HD640G01-36G
 Volume Serial Number is 8017-74C4

I've hit the issue with Cisco Anyconnect Secure Mobility Client version 3.1.02040 on Windows 8.1 x64. Details about it in URL:
https://supportforums.cisco.com/dis...nnect-client-3102040-windows-8-wont-shut-down

Per official Cisco docs AnyConnect support for Windows 8.1 32-bit and 64-bit was added in AnyConnect 3.1.04072.
Release Notes for Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client, Release 3.1 - Cisco

I've uninstalled the old version and installed a new one 3.1.05152
Then I've hibernated/resumed my nettop several times, no issue raised.
