Hello there,
a friendly guy in a german forum told me about sfcfix.exe.
The friendly guide and communication within sfcfix.exe led me here.

SFC /scannow finds errors which cant be fixed on that HHD.
CHKDSK /r /f cant fix what is going on with this HDD.
I used Victoria to fix issues with the HHD. Then I used CHKDSK while the HDD was placed in a backup PC. After that Victoria found less issues. But Win7 will still not start. And dont know how much cycles of SCHDSK it would need to fix alle issues or if the issues would be fixed at all. One cycle of thees 2 also needs several hours.

BSOD foto is attached.
The logfile of sfcfix.exe is attached.
I´m not sure what you guys would need also. Minidumps, crystal disk info data, other logfiles. Please tell me that you need.

All my data and browser sessions are backed up.

The things which are needed to be done to fix this system are beyond my understanding. Also the issues listed in sfcfix.txt is beyond my understanding. But I understand what to do, if someone else can tell me what to do.
I ordered an SSD yesterday to replace this HDD. But we spent almost a week together in another forum to fix the issues. I´m motivated to go on, if it makes sense. I need the help of this forum to judge if it makes thense.
I also consider to upgrade to Win10. But I´m just starting to read about this process. In example, I dont know yet, if I should install Win7 first and then upgrade, or if I could use my Win7 key to install Win10 straight away on the SSD.
And then I cant estimate, if it makes sense to fix this Win7 HDD install to then mirror it onto the new SSD. But I understand that mirroring a broken Win7 to the new SSD is not such a good idea. I have read in this forum that a broken Win7 can be fixed by upgrading to Win10 and then letting Win10 Recovery and Repair running. But that sound very bumpy to me.
If the Win7 install could be saved or rescued, it would save alot of time. Setting up a new system always takes time. On the other side a fresh start has worth also.

There appears to be a number of corruptions which we might possibly be able to repair, however, we to establish if there is any problems with your HDD first of all. Could you please follow these instructions:

Run ListChkDskResult:
  • Download ListChkdskResult
  • Execute the file and accept all the windows prompts to authorize the program to run
  • Notepad will open with a report showing the chkdsk result
  • copy & paste the log to your reply
Could you also please provide your CBS.log, it should be available in the following location:

Rich (BB code):
C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log

The text of CHKDSK result is short. I have the Laptop running in save mode with network drivers, to be able to post this easily from the faulty computer.

I have the cbs.log as *.txt available.
The malfuntion of Win7 occured on the 21th of December at around 10:00 - 12:00. I was browsing web pages of home DIY supply stores.

Retrieve Components Hive
1. Navigate to C:\Windows\System32\Config and locate the COMPONENTS file.
2. Please copy this file to your desktop.
Note: If you receive an error that this file is in-use, simply reboot your computer and try again.
3. Right-click on this file on your desktop and select Send To...Compressed (zipped) folder. This will create a file named COMPONENTS.ZIP on your desktop.
4. The file will likely be too large to upload here so please upload to a file sharing service. Examples of services to upload to are Dropbox or OneDrive or Google Drive and then just provide the link in your reply.

Step 1:
WARNING! The following fix is specific to the user's system in this thread only. No one else should follow these instructions, as it could damage your system.
  • Download the attachment SFCFix.zip and save it on your desktop.
  • Save any work you have open, and close all programs.
  • Drag the SFCFix.zip file over the SFCFix.exe executable and release it.
    1p8eDnI.gif
  • SFCFix will launch, let it complete.
  • Once done, a file will appear on your desktop, called SFCFix.txt.
  • Open the file, then copy and paste its content in your next reply.

Step 2:
Run SFC /SCANNOW in an elevated commandprompt and report the result.
If it fails copy the file C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\cbs.log to your desktop.
Zip the copied file and attach the zipped cbs.log to your next reply.

I dont have the old HHD around right now. But at the week I can follow this guide.
To be sure, I have to do this while I have started from the HDD in save mode?

If you can only boot into Safe Mode then run it from there, otherwise you can run it once you've booted into the Windows normally.

It might be not advisable to re-use the HDD but I´m really interested to know what the cause was.
I also had several BSODs now on WIN10 with this laptop.

KERNEL_MODE_HEAP_CORRUPTION and at least one other cause. It happens, when I have youtube videos running of lengths of 40 minutes and such. When I pause, wind forward or backwards, all YT tabs crash at the same time. And sometimes a BSOD appears.
But I really can start to look into this at the weekend timewise.

Hi,
here are the minidumps.
On that specific evening, where ~5 BSODs happened I reduced the tab number in chrome afterwards.
Also I noticed that Windows update installed several driver updates from Lenovo. The laptop is a Lenovo E320.
Since then the BSODs are gone.

What appears strange to me is, that the same Lenovo driver got installed several times (screenshot).

Attached are 5 minidump files.

It is only intended for the operating system installed on the HDD so I would recommend disconnecting the SSD while you run it.
