Hello, i recently bought a HP notebook and have the following problem:
when listening to music the notebook does randomly this "brrrp" sound. it sounds like this (same model) but is only half a second short, sometimes about a second.
it happens more often while browsing in the web or while watching youtube, but also when listening to music in windows media player.
i had this problem on windows 7 sp1 x64 that i installed first and now with windows 8.1 update x64. both with newest drivers and different antivirs. i have tried second latest driver for audio and wireless lan. i have read that this problem is caused by high dpc latency and installed latencymon.
its always telling me that my "system appears to be having trouble handling real time audio and other tasks". and when this "brrrp" sound happens it looks like this:
brrrrrrrz.jpg
it says that at lease one problem is network related and states that ndis.sys has 100ms execution time while the other drivers are all below 1ms.
i guess this is it, but i dont have enough experiance to troubleshoot this problem. by googling i have seen somebody with a similar problem on this forum.
my internet provider is not to slow because the problem occured at a friends house with 100mbits per second too.
i ran xperf for about 2 minutes where this "brrrp" occured a few times and here is the result:
compressed cpu.etl

hopefully you have an answer !!

EDIT: the bios is updated
and here are the drivers i installed (in the same order)

As long as you do not experience any issues, I wouldn't pay much attention to LatencyMon graphs.
