About 9 months ago, I built myself a new computer using a Threadripper 2950, Gigabyte X399 Designare EX MB, 1200w PSU, 128 GB RAM, dual Radeon HD 6950 Cross Linked, and 512MB SSD. Everything ran without a hitch for 3 months...Then I packed it up for a move overseas. 9 months later, I finally power it up after retrieving it from storage and NOTHING! The CPU powers up, all the fans start spinning, but the screen does not come alive. So, I take out one of the GPU's and powered it up...Nothing. So, I took that one out, and replaced it with the other GPU. This time, the MB splash screen is displayed on the monitor, along with 2 THICK white bars running top to bottom. The screen then goes dark for a moment, and then the words HDMI are displayed on slightly light blue screen, NO not the BSOD color, in the upper right hand corner, but Windows never loads.
Now then, everything was new except for the GPU's which I salvaged from my previous system. So...Is it possible for BOTH GPU's to fail at the same time? Can it be anything else but the GPU's as everything else was bought new to build this computer and everything was working before putting it to sleep for 9 months.
Thanks in advance,
Fred.
