Hello, first of all I apologize for my English, I am from Barcelona.
I have a laptop with boot problems. I get this screen:

I thought it was a problem with the 3v battery on the motherboard, I changed it and the same thing still happens.

In the options given to me by the screen that I get if I use F1, the PC starts normally although sometimes the boot stops at the windows 10 symbol in the center of the screen and I have to restart it again.
If I use the F2 option I enter the "setup" and with F9 "save and exit" it starts correctly.

If I do not unplug it from the current and I have to start it, there is no problem and it normally does. But if I unplug the PC from the power, as the battery has long been spent, the same thing happens again.

Any solution?

Thanks!

Have you tried removing the CMOS battery and unplugging the AC power for 5-10 minutes and then rebooting again?

Are the BIOS settings set to their defaults?

Hi x BlueRobot thanks for your reply:

The CMSO battery was worn out and I changed it. Since I disconnected the old one until I connected the new one, more than 2 hours passed. Then I connected the new one and when restarting it gave the same error.
Are the BIOS settings set to their defaults?
The BIOS settings are the same as before. I have not touched any settings.

Yes, I have already manually set the date several times in the BIOS. But when I restart it once disconnected from the current the same thing happens.

Hi,

Is the new battery installed correctly? also can you check the voltage of the new battery?

Sometimes when there is a problem with the motherboard it can discharge the CMOS battery very quickly when the machine is disconnected form the power source!

Thanks @SleepyDude

The new battery is connected correctly and I have measured its voltage with a tester and it has 3 volts.

It may be useful to say that when I turn on the PC for the first time after it has been disconnected from the power, the power button LED turns on and turns off again (1 second, as if I had no power to turn on). At the moment I press it again and it starts giving the fault that I have told you.
It only happens the first time, just like the fault. Then if I turn it off and on, connected to the power, it starts correctly.

Hi,

For the moment the only suggestion I have is to look for the jumper to do a Clear CMOS, start the machine and enter the BIOS to set time, date, etc. save settings to see if this do any change.

The motherboard should have a jumper or something else to reset the CMOS, it will reset everything to the defaults.

Edit: Hoops sorry this is a laptop, not sure if they have this, if it exists is most likely very hidden inside...

The PC is not from a known trademark. It was manufactured by a company that made PCs optimized to work with audio. But they have already closed. The PC tag is this:
Tracemark: CLEVO / Model: W76CU / Product Code: W760CUH

Based on the files provided you have to flash the BIOS in DOS mode!

If you have a empty flash drive withe size max of 2GB you can use RUFUS to create a bootable flash drive with freedos
usb_bios_flash_rufus.jpg

and extract the zip file BIOS_11.zip to the flash drive.

Test if the machine accepts to boot from the bootable flash drive.

Performed the update to BIOS version 1.00.11, :-) but the problem is still happening 🤒

type the command dir and press Enter do you see update.bat on the list of files?

If the file is there update the bios by typing update.bat and follow the instructions, sometimes its all done without any prompts
