Hello Everyone,
I am happy to have found this forum :-) and hope you guys (girls?) can help me out. My self-built PC keeps on crashing (blue screen, mostly memory_management, ntoskrnl.exe+75b80). All details asked for I hopefully attached completely.

PC is self-built and has been working fine for at least a year. After that it has been crashing.. sometimes not for a month, and sometimes twice a day for a week. Of course frustrating :-(.

The Shop where I bought the components told me to change the size of the virtual memory ( Change the size of virtual memory - Microsoft Windows Help ) but no luck sofar (still crashing).

SSD and memory has been replaced (warranty) but issue remained.

Thanks in advance, I continue with point 6 on https://www.sysnative.com/forums/bs...ctions-windows-8-1-8-7-and-windows-vista.html

If any more info needed please let me know.

Kind regards, Jan (Netherlands)

Wonder if running HDD diagnostics and Test RAM makes sense as I have both replaced the SSD C drive and ram memory but issue remained.. I also have a D and E drive (both SATA WD 500gb). I could disconnect them and see if BSoD remains?

I'll await a reply of an expert before I go on with the tests.

For some reason I'm having trouble opening the System info file(it may be the language difference) what are the full system specs Brands and Models of the CPU, Motherboard, Ram, Video card, PSU and hard drives?

The verifier dmp names Netio.sys a Windows system driver, that usually means a hardware issue but since the Realtek networking driver is out of date it a good place to start Up date the Rt64win7.sys (Tue Sep 27 10:50:33 2011) driver with the latest from the Realtek site> Realtek

Realtek driver is for the onboard audio system? Install the Win7 and WinServer 2008 R2 Auto Installation Program (SID:1644202)?

The link is to the Realtek networking driver Win7 and WinServer 2008 R2 Auto Installation Program (SID:1644202) is correct.

Check for updated firmware for the v300 SSD(use the ToolBox 2.0 program)> products

And I would definitely check the re-certified WD drives for errors using WD's Data LifeGuard for Dos > WD Support / Downloads / SATA & SAS / WD Blue / SE / SE16 (SATA II)

Ok I stopped driver verifier. Do the last 3 crashes show new information?
I also:
- Updated the realtek driver
- Checked for firmware SSD using toolbox 2.0: no firmware updates available.
- and changed the size of virtual memory back to automatic, as this is not solving the issue (see for details my first message)

Will make a bootable USB with DOS and run WD test.. I'll get back to you asap. Thanks sofar Wrench97, I appreciate your help!

It's going to be a hardware issue so add Memtest86+ to the list of tests to run.

Hello, Here are the results of the test of one hard drive (see also pictures in attachement).
-Drive 00ERMAO no erros found on extended test.
-Drive 221CA0: error 0229 when starting test...

Is there a fix so I can run test on 221CA0 drive anyway?

Next: test ram asap..

Memtest86:

I have a problem with booting from USB. I do as on How to perform a MemTest86+ Test | Tech Support Forum is written. That is: write the MEMTEST.img with Win32 Disk Imager to a empty USB stick (Fat32). After writing the USB stick turns out to be unaccessible (windows asks to format again). I remove stick safely anyway, and restart with stick on usb port on motherboard (same port as used for WD test). Stick is somehow not in the Boot option priority list (WD reboot stick was!), but with F8 Boot Menu I can boot from the USB device anyway. Then Windows starts. I delete all drives from boot option priority list, and start USB via F8 menu. Bios appears.

Above procedure I have tried with MEMTEST.img written on 2 different USB sticks.

What might I be doing wrong, or is there another way to check RAM?

I already mentioned but:
After the blue screens started coming (1 year ago) I replaced my RAM but this did not solve the issue. I don't think it is the memory causing the BSoD's, but I like to be sure ofcourse so I'm trying Memtest86 as you adviced.

Sorry I missed that post, I take it there was no error code given?

Try running the system with that drive disconnected and see if you get any BSOD's

WD test:
While starting test 2nd WD drive error 0229 appeared. See also picture attached post #14.
I could disconnect it, but if there is a way to run test anyway I would prefer that.
BSoD also appears when this drive is NOT in use (when surfing the internet: not using files on this drive)

Memtest:
Shall give the Download - Auto-installer for USB Key (Win 9x/2k/xp/7) *NEW!* a go?

If the drive is plugged in it can cause a problem as you don't know what background programs like Windows Search Indexer is accessing.

0229 means there is a problem in the beginning section of the drive where the smart info and test data would be stored during the test.

Yes try the auto installer.
