Bizarre wired PS4 controller issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

So I have this wired controller that disconnects every 7 minutes. It's not random, and you could set your watch to it. That's odd enough, but it gets even weirder. When plugged into my PC, the issue doesn't exist and it works just fine. Now, I did open up the controller and found that there were about 5 colors wires soldered to the circuit board, and the black one had come off. However, I resoldered it back on and it didn't fix the problem. So I have no idea what that black wire actually does. The problem isn't the USB port on the PS4, because other controllers work fine. Does anyone have any idea what component could be causing this issue?

Did you ever manage to get this resolved?

Unfortunately with controllers you're pretty limited in what you can do to fix them. You could try resetting the controller or flashing the firmware - outside of that I'm sure it's theoretically possible to fix, but you might need to dive into the details of the hardware more.

It seems to have a reset hole, but there is no button in there. I don't believe it has any firmware that can be updated. It's just a cheap $15 3rd party controller, but I actually really like it if I could just fix the disconnecting issue. It's not at all important, but I thought that seeing if anyone here knew how to fix it was at least worth a shot.
