I have an ACER tablet iconia w5000 running windows 8.1. Recently it started crashing with the message PC encountered problems now fixing. For more info refer to BAD_POOL_HEADER. PC restarts OK but crashes again after about 30mins.
Pretty much given up and have tried to refresh and which failed with the error "the drive where windows is installed is locked. Unlock the drive and try again"
I have tried a full recovery but get the error "Unable to reset your PC. A required drive partition is missing"
I have googled these errors with no luck.
Ran sfc/Scannow and reported errors with telemetry.ASM-WindowsDefault.json and utc.app.json
Found the SFCFix.exe on The Tech Cookbook and ran that, it reported all fixed but when I ran scannow again some errors were reported.
Please let me know how I should now proceed. Just want to do a full reset.
Thank you
Ian
