Hello, I see many possible causes here. The first thing I would do is completely remove Avast using its utility awsclear.exe from Safe Mode.
Then I'd update all drivers, especially those related to networking.
I'd also check HDD health status: Hard Drive (HDD) Diagnostics + SSD Test

Arg4: ff000000ff000000, Reserved

The reference count of an object is illegal for the current state of the object.

Each time a driver uses a pointer to an object the driver calls a kernel routine

to increment the reference count of the object. When the driver is done with the

pointer the driver calls another kernel routine to decrement the reference count.

Drivers must match calls to the increment and decrement routines. This bugcheck

can occur because an object's reference count goes to zero while there are still

open handles to the object, in which case the fourth parameter indicates the number

of opened handles. It may also occur when the object?s reference count drops below zero

whether or not there are open handles to the object, and in that case the fourth parameter

contains the actual value of the pointer references count.

Thanks, softwaremaniac! I'll try the suggestions and report back. How come some of the entries are in red? Is it because they have the earliest timestamps or are of some other significance?

Moin,

that Minidesktop
HP Software- und Treiber-Downloads fur HP Drucker, Laptops, Desktops und mehr | HP(R) Kundensupport

has absolutely no place to install additional Controllers, so Adaptec, LSI, and all the others can't be installed
but the are loaded for unknown reason.
This Mini-Desktop comes with Intel SATA Chipset an nothing more.
The big Brother, a usual Desktop is equipped with the same Board / Hardware as the Mini, but i doubt that bunch of controllers is installed.
Something to think about what Image is applied there, not the original from HP.

Thanks, MichaelB. I checked on a new ProDesk 600 G3, and the driver list looks a lot cleaner, no QLogic, Nvidia, LSI, VIA, Adaptec drivers. will check further...

I found out later the computer crashed specifically when working on large Excel pivot table. It crashes when Excel used memory reaches around 150 MB.

I switched Office from 32 bits (Excel file size hard limit of 2 GB) to 64 bits (no limit) and added another 8 GB memory. It haven't crashed so far.

DISM did not find anything bad. I tried removing those RAID, SCSI drivers but somehow they returned themselves (... might be computer crashed then Windows reverted back to previously good configuration). I'll mark this thread as solved. Thanks.

Update: computer crashes again later when working with even smaller Excel pivot tables. Verifier, on BSOD screens, revealed the cause was t1pusb64.sys consistently after each crashes. (Interestingly, when viewing the minidumps later with bluescreenviewer, they points to all different places, like ntoskrnl.exe ... etc., but do not show t1pusb64.sys anywhere!?)

This was resolved by replacing the USB2VGA adapter that's used to connect a second monitor.

Verifier (create restore point / backup image first)
Driver Verifier - BSOD related - Windows 10, 8.1, 8, 7 & Vista

Thanks!
