Hi guys, I'm hoping you can help with a rather stubborn problem I've been dealing with for a while now. Sometimes, when running 32-bit software (that relies on C++?), the program immediately crashes and I get a 0xc0000007b Application Error. I've tried two places before here - the Microsoft support forum (thread), where we came to the conclusion that it was a fault of the software (I have reason to believe otherwise now), and the Windows Update subforum on your site, where I asked for help concerning errors that chkdsk and DISM couldn't fix, thinking they were related (thread). I was cleared by them, apparently the corruptions are known and benign, and they suggested I come over here.
The 'reason to believe otherwise' is pretty simple. The game that is talked about in the Microsoft thread is by an indie company and many people have had many different problems. It was easy to write this off as just another one of them. However, less than a week ago a program I use pretty frequently got a small update. After said update, it gets the same error on launch. No other users have reported this problem on their support forums.
I highly recommend looking at the Microsoft thread before suggesting any fixes - I have a considerable list of things I've tried there, as well as some other things suggested by the answers team. I imagine all the pastebin links to logs are long gone, so if you'd like me to recreate some of those, please don't hesitate to ask.
Thanks in advance.
