• Navigate to C:\Windows\System32\Config and locate the COMPONENTS file.

The latest error is related to an old preview update (Sept 2021), so I'll need to setup a VM with this specific update to provide the missing registry keys. So this can take some time.

You're welcome. A huge number of registry keys are missing, and this server is not (fully) updated since Jan 2022 as it seems. So we'll need to fix a lot of components.

So I will prepare a VM with all the older updates to get it on the same patch level to provide the missing components.

Ok, this server is a simple server to distribute wallpaper to the units, however, I arrived recently and my task is taking care of the windows systems and when I saw that it was all outdated and when I started to update I couldn't because of this error.
