0x80071160 is the error code I have. Have not been able to (auto)update since 6/2021. Just now noticed and of course have not had any luck. Seems like you guys have a pretty good track record according to the number of results you have in google searches.

Ran SFC Scan, found some stuff it couldn't fix.
Downloaded and ran SFC Fix, crashed after five minutes.
Log file is 14mb, uploaded here: HERE

Would appreciate any help.
Could these corruptions be related to an intermittent sound issue I've had going on? Audio comes and goes, when it goes it gets more and more static until the laptop "looses" the speakers/mic and says the hardware isn't there anymore? Dell said that it had to be a driver issue of some kind. I can't replicate it when I want, but it does frequently happen at the worst moments, like when I'm broadcasting a stream. Redoing drivers has had no effect.

bump. i know its holiday season... but iv'e seen others getting answers and im sitting over here without anything for a month? anyone home?

Hi,

I will look into your problem.
Note: I'm currently in training so my posts will need to be approved by the Sysnative instructors.

Hi,

Sorry! My proposed fix is maybe overlooked, so I asked the instructors to take a look again at it.

Hi,

Step 1. Download
56f31e53c97da-SFCFix.PNG
SFCFix and save it to your desktop.

Warning: This fix was written specifically for this system. Do not run this fix on another system.
  • Save any work you have open, and close all programs.
  • Download the attachment SFCFix.zip and save it to your desktop.
  • Drag the SFCFix.zip file over the SFCFix.exe executable and release it.

  • SFCFix will launch, let it complete.
  • Once done, a file will appear on your desktop, called SFCFix.txt.
  • Post the logfile (SFCFix.txt) as attachment in your next reply.

Step 2. Reboot the system and run the System File Checker.
  • Click the Start button and in the search box, type Command Prompt
  • When you see Command Prompt on the list, right-click on it and select Run as administrator.
  • When command prompt opens, copy and paste the following command into it, and press enter.
    Code:
    sfc /scannow
  • Take a screenshot of the commandprompt window and paste it into your next reply.

Hi,

  • Open Windows Explorer and browse to the C:\Windows\Logs folder.
  • Right-click on the CBS folder and choose Send to > Compressed (zipped) folder.
  • Now the message will appear, "Windows cannot create the Compressed (zipped) Folder here. Do you want it to be placed on the desktop instead?"
  • Click on the Yes button here.

  • Attach the file CBS.ZIP to your nex reply.

Hi,

Please take a screenshot of the CBS folder and post it in your next reply.

Is there not a file present with CBS.log as name, above the CAB files?

Please reboot the computer and run the System File Checker again. (See step 2 in post #7).
If the scan is ready, check if the file CBS.log is present, if so attach it to your next reply.

Thanks, I need to test something to create a new fix. When it is aproved I come back to you...
