I have a server running 2008R2x64 that won't apply KB4103718. Saw at least one thread with someone having the same issue that looked resolved, but not sure if the SFCFix file would even be relevant to me as I don't know how the helper determined what needed fixing. All other searching has not lead to any solutions.

Unfortunately rebuilding this server would be extremely problematic so I am hoping someone could help me determine a fix.

What I've done so far:

1. Ran chkdsk (any issues have been resolved)
2. Ran sfc /scannow (any issues have been resolved)
3. Ran Update Readiness Tool (only issue unresolved is CSI C Mark Deployment Missing 0x00000000 c!92685b594b8..acd81219449_31bf3856ad364e35_6.1.7601.18496_ac5748f9a5bfe380 amd64_microsoft-windows-lsa_31bf3856ad364e35_6.1.7601.18496_none_041bf8b773a9f127)
3. Used the DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /Scanhealth (gets the same result as running the Update Readiness Tool as a .msu)
4. Ran sfcfix.exe (no change behavior as it only lists "SURT total detected corruption count is 1", which I assume is the error from the Update Readiness Tool)
5. Attempted update from Windows Update site (fails)
6. Attempted update from downloaded .msu (fails)
7. Attempted update from extracted .msu using DISM method (fails)

Currently the error only tells me "One or more required members of the transaction are not present." and to check the dism.log. So far the dism.log is not giving me any insight to the issue.

Hello and welcome! Let's start by fixing the error we can see.

SFCFix Script

Warning: this fix is specific to the user in this thread. No one else should follow these instructions as it may cause more harm than good. If you are after assistance, please start a thread of your own.

 1. Download SFCFix.exe (by niemiro) and save this to your Desktop.
 2. Download the attached file, SFCFixScript.txt, and save this to your Desktop. Ensure that this file is named SFCFixScript.txt - do not rename it.
 3. Save any open documents and close all open windows.
 4. On your Desktop, you should see two files: SFCFix.exe and SFCFixScript.txt.
 5. Drag the file SFCFixScript.txt onto the file SFCFix.exe and release it.
 6. SFCFix will now process the script.
 7. Upon completion, a log should be created on your Desktop: SFCFix.txt.
 8. Copy (Ctrl+C) and Paste (Ctrl+V) the contents of this into your next post for me to analyse please - put

tags around the log to break up the text.

Afterwards, try the update again and attach CBS.lof if it fails.
