Hello ,recently this forum helped me for a BSOD error and i am highly thankful for that and i am back with other problem and hope that i will get help for the issue.

i am having problem while installing games whenever i am installing them i am getting these errors "---------------------------
ISDone.dll
---------------------------
An error occurred while unpacking: Does not match checksum!
Unarc.dll returned an error code: -12
ERROR: file C:\Program Files\R.G. Mechanics\Split Second\data\environments\levels\graveyard.ark failed CRC check(this one is the installation direcotry"

I reinstalled my operating system and also changed installation directory but the same issue is happening i tried to install these on other system and it works fine but on my pc i am keep getting these issue
Thank you

I reinstalled my operating system
:( I fail to see why you did this. Reinstalling the OS should ALWAYS be a last resort option for many reasons. For one, it can set you months, if not years behind in security updates. You have to rebuild your security. All your data and downloaded files will be lost - if not properly backed up. Nothing is learned to prevent recurrence as evidence of the actual problem is destroyed. And finally, as seen here, it frequently does not resolve the problem! And that is common when the problem may be hardware related.

I agree with Noel. This problem is often failing RAM. I generally let MemTest run overnight so it can get several passes in. You should get 0 errors. But sadly, no software based memory checker is 100% conclusive so it may be necessary to remove all but one stick of RAM and see how that goes.

I note that several users have reported success installing and running misbehaving games by disabling their anti-malware scanners. I don't recommend that at all and if I were to encounter that situation, I would find another game to play, or different security. But never no security.

Hello all i want to know if this problem is with ram or ram module then should this issue happen to all installation or these type of files?because when i manually put isodll and unarc dll then restart my system then when i try to install the file it works fine but for checking ma system i uninstalled this then when retry to install same issue happen i put my put my ram (2*2)GB in different slot but sam issue happening ..do you think this problem is with my ram or ram module?

do you think this problem is with my ram or ram module?
I think there is some confusion. That is like asking if the problem with your car is the motor or the engine. Same difference.

To be nitpicky, your RAM "memory" is made up one or more "modules" or "sticks" of RAM. Each stick will have typically 8 or 16 memory devices or ICs mounted on the stick.

Assuming your computer used to work fine with these sticks, the problem would not be compatibility with your motherboard. But it could a problem with one or more of your "sticks".

Have you tested your RAM as suggested multiple times now?

i will leave it whole night then will inform you. Thanks

Again i try to check another setup and the size was 6.8gb and that install perfectly and i tested my ram with memtest and i did not get any error and got 10 passes but with the two installer m getting this problems.

I don't know what the problem is, but thinking out loud - Your description in your first post suggests (to me) there is a problem during the compression/decompression process with the installation package. One or more of the uncompressed files is different than the same file before compression - hence the checksum error. Since the same installation appears to work on different computers, that suggests the original compressed installation file is okay, that something is happening during decompression, either with the decompression process, or with the saving of the files to disk.

Again, because no software based RAM tester is 100% conclusive I still recommend running with 1 stick at a time. Note these software based testing programs tend to be really accurate when they report bad RAM. That is, if they toss up even a single error, you can be sure the RAM is bad. But these programs can report that RAM is good, but when put in use, they fail. I often see RAM sticks test good and run good individually, but then fail when paired with other RAM.

Checksum errors also occur when BIOS information at boot is different from when the last time the BIOS was saved. This can be the result of some hardware change, or the BIOS/CMOS battery is failing. Replacing the battery is inexpensive, and easy with no harm done if not the problem.

Checksum errors can occur when the hard disk is experiencing some corruption. So running Error Checking on your disks might help.

Does your computer run fine otherwise? Is it fully updated? Have you scanned for malware?

Hey bro thanks for your reply ,
Now i found that where was the error and i would like to share on this forum,i have 2*2 (2GB) simmtronic Ram one i bought in 2011 and a new one i bought in 2013 so as you told and after searching net i found that this could be ram problem so i decided to run these setup with only single ram .So first i run my pc with the single new one ram and got the same error while installing but when i put the older ram then everything was running perfect setup installed normally before when i was this running both ram my windows 7 giving me a error again and again "display driver stopped responding and has recovered " (i have powercolor radeon HD5450 2gb graphic) but after removing my new ram and running on with older ram only i did not got any of these errors thank got this ram is in warranty.BUT,this is strange that memtest did not gave any error and passed my ram 10 times .so i found the bug and now this thread is now solved. Thanks for helping brother .

As I noted above, even the best software based RAM testers are not conclusive. And also as noted, it is not uncommon for a RAM stick to test good, and run good alone, but fail when paired with other RAM. So I am not surprised with your results.

Note too that most motherboards in the last several years support "dual-channel memory architecture". This is a motherboard performance feature that allows 2 sticks of RAM to function together in pairs at nearly twice the speed. But the catch is the two sticks need to have identical specifications, and on earlier boards, even from the same maker.

If your motherboard has more than two RAM slots, you may be able to move your second stick to a different slot, but you will likely lose the dual-channel advantage. You will see all your RAM (if the motherboards supports the configuration), but it will not function at dual-channel speeds. So the normal recommendation is to buy all new, and matched RAM.

Any way, I am glad you got it sorted out and thanks for the follow-up.

Hey bro i have intel DH55TC motherboard so what do you say ..does it support simmtronics two gb ddr3 1333 ram?

According to the specs I found for your board, it supports the following:

• Four 240-pin DDR3 SDRAM Dual Inline Memory Module (DIMM) sockets
• Support for DDR3 1333 MHz and DDR3 1066 MHz DIMMs
• Support for 1 Gb and 2 Gb memory technology
• Support for up to 16 GB of system memory with four DIMMs using 2 Gb
memory technology
• Support for non-ECC memory

So it "should" support your RAM. And that board supports dual-channel so installing in pairs (in the appropriate slots) will provide best performance.

That said, I have never heard of that brand so I know nothing about them. I suspect it is fine especially since it would be hard to find any RAM today that is not warrantied for life. But if me, I would stick with the major brands. Note my canned text below:

These popular RAM makers have auto-scanning and/or manual entry RAM wizards to help you determine which RAM is compatible with your motherboard. For manual entry, enter/select the PC or motherboard make and model number and the wizard will list compatible RAM.
Crucial - Memory Advisor
Corsair - Memory Finder (manual data entry only)
GeIL - Memory Meter
Kingston - Memory Search (manual data entry only)
Mushkin - Advisor
Patriot - Memory Search (manual data entry only)
PNY - Memory Configurator (manual data entry only)
SuperTalent - Memory Finder (manual data entry only)

The following retailers have auto-scanners and manual wizards. They sell brand name and/or "house" brand (re-branded) RAM.
Newegg - Memory Configurator System Tool
MemoryStock - Upgrade Configurator
18004Memory – Configurator
4AllMemory - Memory advisor (automatic and manual)
TigerDirect - Memory Configurator (manual data entry only)

Thanks a lot bro for your reply..so now this thread have been solved so again thanks .

Hi, i'm experiencing the same problem whenever i install my nba2k17 and it always appear at the 7th cd "an error occurred while unpacking: Does not match checksum!Unarc.dll returned an error code: -12ERROR: file ..." please help me

Such an error in your case almost certainly means a damaged or dirty CD.
First, clean the CD gently with a clean cloth and water, then see if that improves things.
If not, then you could try one of the many CD recovery programs available. - I use IsoBuster, but Nero also do one, as do many other companies.
If that fails for whatever reason, then you may have to try and find someone else with a copy that they are able to lend/give/sell you.

How can i use isobuster?

When i insert DISK 7 the installation continues however when it get to a certain point in the process the error isdone.dll appears

hello everyone
Even though this thread is solved for OP, but i have the same problem but i use laptop Acer r13 evem though it is not for gaming but what to do i don't have anything and definitely not the money to build a gaming PC. Back to the problem it gives the message "checksum error".
What should i do.
