Hi, new member as of this post. Determined I needed some help after trying all I could with this issue.
I am running Windows 7 Home 64-bit on an HP 6550b Probook.
Noticed I was unable to launch any installed applications, otherwise laptop runs fine.
In my limited experience, I attempted to diagnose with Command Prompt and scannow.
Details determined I had some file corruption, and in researching, downloaded and ran SURT.
Results were as follows:

Laptop was purchased without a recovery disc and no previous version is available for a restore.
Really would like to determine if these files can be repaired or replaced if possible.
Almost convinced this is processor related, so I am at the point of replacing the motherboard if it came down to it.
