This reminds me of the universal constructor, it be interesting to see how accurate this AI becomes. I should imagine it will useful for generating boilerplate code or spotting common programming pitfalls. I doubt that software engineering roles will entirely disappear but it might help to "cull" the field somewhat. I'm certainly not claiming to be a brilliant developer, however, there does appear to be some really awful code out there written by senior developers.

For instance, the Da Vinci surgical apparatus still, needs a surgeon. Until we figure out the speed of light limit, we are stuck. It would take the aggregated power of faster than light computation to really get close to perfection. Even photons have resistance and..... Resistance is futile... Sorry, almost went on a Star Trek tangent.

It says something about some of the repositories on GitHub. Hopefully the AI will "learn" will more training data and these issues will subside with time. xrobwx71 said: Even photons have resistance and..... Resistance is futile... Click to expand... Borg are certainly the best antagonists in my opinion!
