I(only me) use Windows 7 Professional 64bit. I was trying to do some actions that were not allowed. I went to Account Type and my account icon shows as Administrator, but in the detail it is listed as Standard User. What would be any issues if I changed it to Administrator? I was trying to cleanup an entry, an old Treesize from 2012. Which I have trouble finding again.

Screenshots would help. But, in any case, if the account is actually standard user then you'd have to have another account with admin privileges to allow you to make that standard account an admin account.

You would also be very well advised to move on to Windows 10. It's still free to upgrade, and running any unsupported Windows, particularly if you're in contact with cyberspace, is just asking for trouble (later, if not sooner).

Windows 7, my account shows as Administrator but that doesn't mean I can do everything. It is a "limited" administrator's account in Windows 7 by design.
Sometimes when I try to remove (I erase) I get a popup that I need administrator's approval. I simply click allow and the item is removed by erasing.
Don't you get a popup asking if you want to allow or deny administrator's approval?

In most cases that is true. It was just this case that has me confused. I did run TreeSize Free(latest version). It located the entry that
started my search. It also deleted it. It seems that this application bypasses Administrator and other restrictions(Read Only).
