Hi, hopefully I'm posting this question in the correct forum. I tried scanning a document this morning on an X6570 Lexmark All-in-one which has been used exclusively with a Windows XP computer in the past. The printer is now installed on a Windows 8 desktop. The scan wasn't successful because I kept getting an error message saying that there are corrupt files, and to reinstall FineReader (the printer uses Abbyy FineReader 6.0 Sprint).
I've done enough searching to guess that this printer (at least scanner) may not be compatible with Windows 8, because I can't figure out how to upgrade to a current version of FineReader. (?) The printer works fine as far as printing, faxing and scanning photos, but not when scanning documents. Is there a solution, besides buying a newer all-in-one? A separate scanner isn't really an option since we scan infrequently, and space is limited. Thanks.
