The only review we have this week for you is one for Sleeping Dogs, the open-world action game from developer United Front Games and publisher Square Enix, which proved to be a nice mix of solid mechanics that fails to impress when it comes to the narrative space.

We also have the usual two Gamer Diaries, one of them linked to the Gamescom 2012 trade event and the big titles that we saw while we were in Cologne and another one about Sword of Islam, a CK II-based expansion.

My colleague, Andrei Dobra, is on vacation, so we only have one Weekend Reading for you this week, talking about the reasons for the big decline in the subscription-based MMO space.

As always, we also deliver an EndWeekGame piece and the most important news from the week that passed us by.
