[h=1]Tragedy as nine-month-old boy dies after being left in scorching hot car in family's driveway[/h]

A nine-month-old boy has died after being left in a scorching hot car parked in his family's driveway.

The baby, who has not been named, was unresponsive when he was discovered strapped into a baby seat in the back of a white minivan between 3.30pm and 4.30pm on Saturday.

We've all heard of tragic stories similar to this, but I am at a complete loss to understand how something like this can happen and still continues to occur despite high publicity of these cases in recent years.

Very, very sad.

No particular reason really, but I've always glanced around the interior of my car before locking and leaving my car upon reaching my destination.

Do you all usually do the same?

As a proud dad myself, stories like this makes my blood turn, how can you not miss an infant under a year old. Poor child.

My question is, "How can you miss a child of any age?" My daughter is now 15 and trying to think back to when she was an infant, toddler, adolescent I can not comprehend how any one could forget about their precious cargo. Are parents really that separated from the reality of being a parent?
