[SOLVED] [7SP1Ult x64] updates show in update history but do not show in installed updates

Hello and welcome,

FRST Scan:
  1. Download the Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your Desktop:
64-bit: Downloading Farbar Recovery Scan Tool
Note: Your antivirus program may report FRST incorrectly as an infection. If so, disable the real-time protection when downloading and running FRST.
  2. Right-click to run the tool as administrator. When the tool opens click Yes to disclaimer.
  3. Note: Ensure that the Addition.txt check box is checked at the bottom of the form within the Optional Scan area.
  4. Press the Scan button.
  5. Please wait for the tool to finish. It will produce two logfiles called FRST.txt and Addition.txt in the same directory the tool is run from (which should be the desktop)
  6. Post the logfiles FRST.txt and Addition.txt as attachment in your next reply.

First a general note:
- Best not to use any keygen tools. They can compromise the security of your computer.
- Also do not use registry cleaners. They often promise more then they deliver and/or you have to pay first to repair the found items.

That said we can start fixing your computer.

Step 1:
There are 2 antivirus programs installed, Baidu Antivirus and Microsoft Security Essentials. There should be only one AV installed.
Uninstall Baidu Antivirus.
When completed reboot the machine.

Step 2:
Uninstall following programs:
- Advanced System Repair Pro
- NoVirusThanks Win Update Fixer v1.2
Reboot the machine.

Step 3: Update Java
Open this web page to download the latest version. Click 'Free Java Download' and then 'Agree and Start Free Download'.
Download the installer jxpiinstall.exe and run it.
Click Install and then Install>.
Warning: You may get a choice to install additional software and/or allow to change your browser settings. Uncheck all that!
If you get a pop-up saying "Out-of-date Java versions detected.", click Uninstall>. This will remove the outdated Java versions.

Step 4:
Please report the results.

Hello, dear.
Uninstall Baidu Antivirus, Advanced System Repair Pro,
NoVirus Thanks Win Update Fixer v1.2.
Install "jre-8u361-windows-x64.exe" asked to remove old 2 Java. I couldn't find your jxpiinstall.exe. He completed all the instructions.
Some more problems with updates: the important KB947821 and other important ones from Microsoft are installed only in History, then they disappear soon. Some people generally do not install with the link "the update is not applicable to your computer". HKLM "COMPONENTS" is missing in the registry, although I installed it from system32.
Two weeks ago upgrade Win7 from flash drives. 160 updates appeared. I tried to install several times - only History, after time disappeared.

Good day.
I'll be a little late with an answer for another week. Valuable problems. My opinion is that Microsoft installed the cause with update. He installed something on my computer. Two weeks ago after upgrading from the flag I got a warning, today too: "You windows7 PC is out for support. Microsoft strongly recommended using Win10 on a new PC". If anything can be done, please help. I categorically do not want Win10.
I do everything according to your instructions.

Okay, no problem.

I categorically do not want Win10.
You can keep using Windows 7 but there will be no updates for this OS anymore. Other programs like internet browsers might not be updated to support Windows 7.

Hi, Peter!
I kind of didn't understand the word "screenshots". I did everything in my own way. Then I thought that it was necessary to do it through "paint", but it was too late. If you need to cut it, I'll redo it.
Here are the old updates, where you can’t install new ones in any way. And new ones that came after upgrading from flash drives a few weeks ago. And install history. Understand in my opinion.

Select in the list of important updates only those starting with KB24, KB25 and KB26.
Try to install them and report the result.

Hi Peter!
It takes a very long time to load the 18mb update. Downloaded to Update History and to Installed Updates. Only one file failed for some reason and an error appeared, then after creating a screenshot, the error disappeared. I think that updates in history dissapear after junk files. I did not try to install further, I will wait for the instructions.

Don't worry. That can happen.

Select in the list of important updates only those starting with KB27, KB28 and KB29.

Hi Peter!
This time the updates installed without errors. But it's my fault that I made a big mistake, I didn't notice that below there are also KB24, KB25, KB26, KB27, KB28, KB29, etc. i.e.
What should be done now? I am very guilty! I'm sorry. I await instructions. There may be new updates.

No big problem. The number of available updates decreases which is good.
Please install only updates starting with KB24, KB25 and KB26 and report the result.

Hi Peter
Install KB24, KB25, KB26 according to your instructions. So far everything looks good.
I await further instructions.

Great.
Now install only updates starting with KB27, KB28 and KB29 and report the result.

You started a thread here also: [WINDOWS 11] BSOD
Is the machine in that thread the same as in this thread ?
If so, please put one thread on hold.
In general do not start multiple threads for the same machine at the same time. This to avoid any confusion by you and helpers.

Hi Peter!
I apologize for my ignorance. That BSOD was before: 04/04/2023. I went to your specialist but somehow everything got lost. He recently applied again for the matter. I've had BSODs a few times before (like 5 times}. I just wanted to check. I'll be more careful in the future. I promise to cut him off.
Install only KB27, KB28, KB29 according to your instructions. So far everything looks good.
I await further instructions.
