Greetings to all of the forum members and techs. I post this on the forum because I saw in 2013 you helped a member with this type of issue before and I know that you guys are highly skill in all computer problems . I am having a problem of installing itunes on my windows 7 64 bit pc. these are the messages I am getting itunes error occurred during installation of assembly. The event viewer shows msilstaller error 11935 and 1013 the 1935 error is connected to this error hresult 0x80070003. The sfc /scannow is clean and the system readiness tool kb947821 is clean also and I ran the windows repair tools checking boxes 1,2,3,10 only and I am needing more knowledge from here to solve this problem, help from one of you geniuses would be appreciated . Thanks

Re: Cannot install itunes on windows 7 64 bit

Thanks for the swift reply and your candor. This video is similar to my situation in regards to the error messages that I am getting error 1935 and hresult 0x80070003 which led me to try the winodws repair aio tool and check those 4 boxes but I am not sure about the next move going into the winsxs, this video is the closest thing I saw so far that relates to this issue. Apple support was not informative at all on how to solve there own product glitch. Trying their forum I will do since it's there product and also continue to trouble shoot. If there is a suggestion on the next move I am all for it . Thanks here is the video Download Error 1935 can't install MS Visual C++ packages HRESULT0x800.mp4 from Sendspace.com - send big files the easy way.

Re: Cannot install itunes on windows 7 64 bit

Re: Cannot install itunes on windows 7 64 bit

Thanks I uninstalled avast and noticed that my checksur next scan came clean I think I need to change to another anti virus company

Re: [7 x64] Cannot install itunes

Good afternoon forum I was wondering if anyone can answer this computer question concerning installation failure? If there is no sfc/scannow file corruption or checksur logs corruption what causes a installation to fail, and where to look for the cause of this failure. Event viewer gives me the error code example ( error 1935 and hresult 0x80070003) but can I look into the cbs logs and see what's really causing the problem? , like access denied or something in the winsxs files. I cannot install all software from itunes and I don't think this is just a itune error because I have been working with their forum for 5 days straight no one can figure this out. Also how to check if the microsoft visual c++ is working correctly . I know that you guys are high tech analyst
when viewing errors and logs and know what tools and utilities to use . Great confidence I have in sysnative forum .

Re: [7 x64] Cannot install itunes

Is your Windows Module Installer service running? If not, please start it and try again.

If that doesn't work, please do the following:

Farbar Service Scanner
1. Download Farbar Service Scanner from here, and move it to the Desktop
2. Right-click on FSS.exe > Run as Administrator
3. Checkmark everything, and click Scan
KUTc3I2.png
4. Once it finishes, Notepad will open FSS.txt on your Desktop. Copy and paste everything in it in your next reply

Re: [7 x64] Cannot install itunes

Download the frst 64 on the desktop and here is the message i am getting no fixlist found the fixlist should be in the same folder/directory the tool is located.

Re: [7 x64] Cannot install itunes

Ignore that, please. That was my mistake :) I can now see that your issue lies within the fact that you are missing visual c++ redistributable packages.

Please run the following command in CMD:

SxsTrace Trace -logfile:SxsTrace.etl

Then run your application that is causing the problem (reproduce the problem).

When done, press Enter to stop the tracing and use the below command to generated a text formatted file of the output.

sxstrace Parse -logfile:SxSTrace.etl -outfile:SxSTrace.txt

Here is the txt report I believed the problem was something of this kind but didn't have the knowledge or the tools to properly analyze the situation. It took me 5 minutes just to find out where was the txt posted on my computer. =================Begin Activation Context Generation.

Re: [7 x64] Cannot install itunes

I DID IT!I found a way when no one in the apple forum could figure this out, nor all the similar threads in this forum no one could figure this out, this problem defeated everyone on both forums and led the trouble shooters to stop shooting and give up. I fervently study this problem 6 to 10 hours a day for 6 days straight working with the apple community but to no avail all of their preset methods of solving this problem failed. I needed someone to think out of the box and do a more investigative diagnosis of this problem so that we are attacking the problem more intelligently. When I ask myself different questions concerning this issue my search changed from the product (itunes) to the errors messages that I was getting ex: 1935, 1053, hresult 0x80070003 and 45075. At 3:36 am this morning I was bless with the right solution and now itunes work with no errors. The error 1935 is the most significant error to fix otherwise you are stuck. The problem was not itunes perse but with the winsxs ( side by side) was stopping the installation of the apple application support 64 from installing . That's it, That's it ,That's it ,not reinstalling itune 30 times using different versions is not the answer the answer it getting permissions in the c:\windows\winsxs and creating a new InstallTemp folder within the c:\windows\winsxs and then come out of that location and reboot your computer and then try to install the apple application support 64 and bang it install and now itunes work perfectly. Again this is not just for itunes it is for the error 1935 hresult 0x80070003 before you try this please back up your computer system restore and back your registry. I will post more pictures and instructions later to give you a clearer view of what worked for me. I'm a genius lol

Re: [7 x64] Cannot install itunes

Thanks and I know that you where on your way to diagnose the problem and come up with the glorified fix. I can tell that you are a go getter when it comes to computers.
