Hi,

I followed that instruction, but the Windows Update Standalone Installer returns an error:

Installer encountered an error: 0x800f0900

Re: [W7SP1 x64] KB4048597 fails, SFC finds corrupt files. CBS&SFC tdcc 26, SURT tdcc

I expected that this would happen.

Search with Farbar Recovery Scan Tool (FRST)

  • Download FRST or FRST64 and save it to the Desktop.
(Please pick the version that matches your operating system's bit type. If you don't know which version matches your system, try FRST if it says that is not compatible with your OS you have to use FRST64)
  • Open the Command Prompt as Administrator (Tutorial)
  • Type or copy/paste the following command:

Code:
               dism /online /Get-FeatureInfo /FeatureName:TFTP|find "completed"
  • Wait for the command to finish with "The operation completed successfully"
  • Close the window "Administrator: Command Prompt"
  • Execute FRST/FRST64 right click on the icon
    FRST.jpg
and choose Run as Administrator. Make sure all other windows are closed.
(When the tool opens for the first time, you must click Yes on the disclaimer.)
    FRST_SearchRegistry.png
  • On the Search box (1) type or copy and paste the following text:
    KB4038777
  • Press the Search Registry button.
  • Wait for the search to finish FRST will produce a log called (SearchReg.txt) in the same directory the Tool is run from.
  • Please copy and paste the log to your post. If it's too big, attach.

Step#1 - FRST Fix
NOTICE: This script was written specifically for this user, for use on that particular machine. Running this on another machine may cause damage to your operating system
1. Please download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your Desktop.
Note: You need to run the 64-bit Version so please ensure you download that one.
2. Download attached file and save it to the Desktop.
Note. It's important that both files, FRST64 and fixlist.txt are in the same location or the fix will not work (in this case...the desktop).
3. Run FRST64 by Right-Clicking on the file and choosing Run as administrator.
4. Press the Fix button just once and wait. If for some reason the tool needs a restart, please make sure you let the system restart normally. After that let the tool complete its run.
5. When finished FRST64 will generate a log on the Desktop (Fixlog.txt). Please post the contents of it in your reply.

Afterwards, try updates and if any fail, attach CBS.log.
