[7 x64] Stuck at Startup; then stuck at chkdsk: volume clean. FIX: REMOVED AVG & MSE.
Computer was working fine last night, logged off, but left computer on. This morning, moving the mouse and realized the computer was off (no one touched it, probably Windows Updates and might be power outage)
Turning on computer and it got stuck at Starting Windows... screen.
I could reboot Windows in safe mode, I tried uninstalled 4 updates ((1 Windows security update, 1 Windows update? 2 .Net framework update)) that were installed overnight, but only the top two got removed, the other two could not be uninstalled...
I tried pressing F8, then startup repair; startup repair from Windows ISO USB, they failed... I tried "bootrec /fixmbr", "bootrec /fixboot", "bootrec /scanos", "bootrec /rebuildbcd", did not help.
somehow it could no longer boot into safe mode... (stuck at loading drivers (text scrolling up) screen)
i then tried chkdsk /f /r, it prompted to schedule chkdsk at bootup. After reboot, chkdsk ran, finished 5 stages, then reboots itself, then it display:
Checking file system on C:
the type of the file system is NTFS.
the volume is clean.
And got stuck there.
Rebooting the computer and it will go through the same process: Starting Windows... chkdsk, reboot, stuck.
Please help!
Any suggestion how to fix these please?
